Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 1st Apr 2019

Week commencing Monday 1st April 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Cressex Road, High Wycombe : Monday 21st January to Friday 3rd May 2019. Due to road configuration works this road will be closed on either side of the Cressex link/Coronation Road junction during this period. School day bus routes 643 and 655 will need to divert via the A4010 and the stops on Cressex Road between New Road/John Hall Way and the Marlow Road junction will not be served.

High Wycombe Bus Station : Monday 1st to Saturday 13th April 2019. Due to repairs on the forecourt there will be rolling bay closures and bus routes will depart from different bays, please check this notice for the Bus Bay Changes. Please note for the whole period Arriva bus services 32 and 33 will not serve the bus station. Passengers travelling towards Booker and Castlefield should use the temporary stop on Oxford Road. Passengers travelling towards Micklefield and Totteridge should use the temporary stop on Bridge Street.

High Wycombe Town Centre : Monday 1st to Friday 5th April 2019, 8pm to 6am. Due to Buckinghamshire County Council, Wycombe Masterplan works the following roads will be closed on this nights: High Street, Crendon Street, Easton Street and Queen Victoria Road. Buses travelling along the London Road will divert via Abbey Way in both directions.

Coppice Way, Aylesbury : Tuesday 2th April 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water bus route 14 will need to divert via the Bierton Road between these times. As such stops on Douglas Road, Meadow Way, Field Way or Coppice Way will not be served.

High Street/Station Road/Church Road, Ivinghoe : Saturday 6th to Thursday 18th April 2019. Due to works by Anglian Water these roads will be closed, bus stops on Church Road, High Street and Marsworth Road east of Vicarage Road will not be served. Buses will divert as follows :

  • Service 61 / 61A: Buses will divert via Vicarage Road and Upper Icknield Way resuming normal route at the B489. The nearest served stops will be the ‘Playing Field’ stops in Pitstone.
  • 167 (Tuesday only) : Services will start / terminate at ‘Albion Road’ stops in Pitstone.
  • 164 : 6.20am service will terminate at the Pitstone ‘Playing Fields’ stop.
  • 50 (Sunday only) : After serving the ‘College Lake Nature Reserve’ stop in Marsworth, buses will divert via Vicarage Road and then serve the ‘Playing Fields’ stop in Marsworth.

Bus Stop Suspensions

School Road, Penn : Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd April 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the two ‘School Road’ stops near the junction with Church Lane will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Pond’ stops further along School Road instead.

Risborough Road, Little Kimble : Monday 1st to Friday 5th April 2019. Due to works on behalf of UK Power Networks both ‘Brookside Lane’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Railway Station’ stops instead.

London Road, Buckingham : Thursday 4th April until further notice. Due to works to implement a cycle lane the stop north of the junction with the A421 for passengers travelling towards the town centre will be suspended. A temporary stop will be located nearby and passengers are advised to wait here instead.

Lent Rise Road, Burnham : Saturday 6th April 2019. Due to Thames Water works the northbound ‘Burlington Road’ stop will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Cornell’s Corner’ or ‘Lent Green’ stops, both on Lent Rise Road instead.

Aylesbury Road, Wendover : Sunday 7th April 2019. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘Clock Tower’ stops will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use either the ‘Health Centre’ stops further along Aylesbury Road.
