A 24 year old man was injured during an incident of road rage in Cressex, High Wycombe on Wednesday 17th April 2019.
The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Cressex Road at the junction with Coronation Road when two mopeds attempted to go through a red light at a set of temporary traffic lights.
A 24 year old man was monitoring the traffic at the site of the road works, he stopped the riders as they went through the red light. However following a discussion the riders returned to the red light.
The 24 year old man was then confronted by one of the riders who drove a moped in to the 24 year old man’s leg, causing him to fall backwards. The second rider put his right fist out and when driving past, hit the 24 year old man on the head.
The 24 year old man was treated at Wexham Park Hospital for a head injury, however he was later discharged.
The first moped rider was on a red moped, aged between 16 and 17 years old and of stocky build. He was wearing a green hooded top, Adidas trousers, blue Adidas trainers and a white and red crash helmet.
The second moped rider was riding a black moped, aged between 16 and 17 years old and of stocky build. He was wearing a black hooded top, black trousers, black trainers and a black crash helmet.
Investigating officer, PC Alistair Bennett based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘The victim in this case was injured and is still suffering from the effects of this assault.
It’s believed a jogger intervened and helped the victim, he may have vital information to help with this investigation so we would ask them to please contact police.
