Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 29th April 2019

Week commencing Monday 29th April 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Cressex Road, High Wycombe : Monday 21st January to Friday 3rd May 2019. Due to road configuration works this road will be closed on either side of the Cressex link/Coronation Road junction during this period. School day bus routes 643 and 655 will need to divert via the A4010 and the stops on Cressex Road between New Road/John Hall Way and the Marlow Road junction will not be served.

Little Horwood Road, Great Horwood : Monday 15th April to Wednesday 1st May 2019. Due to sewer connection works this road will be closed on these days. Route 50 buses and school services 762 and 905 will divert via Nash Road, A421 and Shucklow Hill. ‘The Green’ and ‘Townsend Cottages’ stops will not be served during these days. The nearest served stops are the ‘High Street’ stops in Great Horwood.

Church Road, Slapton : Tuesday 23rd April to Thursday 2nd May 2019, 7.00am to 7.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and route 162 will not be able to call in here. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Carpenters’ Arms’ stop on Horton Road instead.

Cressex Link/Coronation Road : High Wycombe, Tuesday 23rd April to Thursday 2nd May 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works on this junction the route 34 buses after 7.00pm will divert via Turnpike Road and John Hall Way. The stops on Cressex Link and the stops just above the junction on Coronation Road will not be served. A temporary stop located on Turnpike Road can be used instead.

Cock Lane, High Wycombe : Monday 29th April to Thursday 2nd May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these days and bus route 27 will not be able to serve here on these days. The nearest served stop by the 27 is on Bank Street.

Nash Road, Thornborough : Tuesday 30th April to Thursday 2nd May 2019. Due to Anglian Water works the 151 will not be able to serve the ‘Thornhill’ stop on these days. Passengers will be able to use the ‘Post Office’ stops on The Green instead.

Brill Road, Oakley : Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd May 2019, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these days. Services 111 and 113 will enter Brill from The Green then serve the stops on Church Street and turn back round at The Square. The ‘Square’ stops on Oakley Road will not be served. The 112 bus will not be able to serve Brill on Friday 3rd May 2019.

Tramhill, Brill : Friday 3rd to Friday 17th May 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will closed during this period. The Wednesday and Friday 112 morning bus will divert after serving Ludgershall via the A41 and Blackthorn to serve Oakley before Brill it will then enter Brill via Oakley Road and travel onto Long Crendon from there. The afternoon journeys will do the reverse of this. The ‘Leatherslade Farm’ stops on the B4011 will not be served. Please note on Friday 3rd May 2019 the 112 will not serve Brill due to a closure on Brill Road, Oakley, please see above.

Hicks Farm Rise, High Wycombe : Friday 3rd May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Micklefield Road and Misbourne Avenue. As such route 39 buses will divert via Misbourne Avenue and not serve the stop nearest the Hicks Farm Rise junction on Roebuck Avenue or the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ stop on Hicks Farm Rise. The nearest served stop is on Roebuck Avenue opposite Gynant Road.

Eaton Bray Road, Northall : Friday 3rd to Wednesday 8th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between these times. Buses will divert from Great Billington via Stanbridge Road and the Rye and will not serve The Swan stops in Northall or the stops in Northall Road in Eaton Bray.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Churchway and Woodways, Haddenham : Monday 8th April to Sunday 19th May 2019. Due to SGN works the Thame bound stop on Woodways and the ‘Village Hall’ stop on Churchway will be suspended on these dates passengers are advised to use the ‘Fort End’ stop on Tacks Lane instead.

World’s End Lane, Weston Turville : Monday 15th April to Monday 27th May 2019. Due to development works in the vicinity the two ‘Church Lane’ stops will be suspended during this period. The nearest available stops are at ‘The Chandos’ at the junction of World’s End Lane/Marroway.

London Road, Padbury : Tuesday 23 to Tuesday 30th April 2019. Due to works in the vicinity both ‘Springfields’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘The New Inn’.

Amersham Road, Hazlemere : Tuesday 23rd April to Wednesday 1st May 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘St John’s Road’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘De Havilland Drive’ stops instead.

Cores End Road, Bourne End : Monday 29th April to Wednesday 1st May 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘New Road’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops by the Railway Station on Station Road.

Chearsley Road, Long Crendon : Monday 29th April 2019. Due to Thames Water works the stops near Needlemakers will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the stop further along Chearsley Road on Church Road.

Wendover Road, Aylesbury : Monday 29th April 2019, 7.00pm to 5.00am. Due to works in the vicinity the ‘Silver Birch Way’ stop will not be served by the last 8A journey back to Aylesbury on this evening. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hampden Hall’ stop instead.

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Tuesday 30th April 2019. Due to Thames Water works in the vicinity both the ‘Mill End Road’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Mill End East’ stop towards High Wycombe town or for journeys away from town the ‘Desborough Park Road’ stop.

Bank Holidays

Most bus companies will run their Sunday timetables on the following bank holidays in 2019 :

  • Monday 6th May 2019
  • Monday 27th May 2019
  • Monday 26th August 2019

Most bus services which do not have a Sunday timetable will not operate.
