Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 13th May 2019

Week commencing Monday 13th May 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Tramhill, Brill : Friday 3rd to Friday 17th May 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will closed during this period. The Wednesday and Friday 112 morning bus will divert after serving Ludgershall via the A41 and Blackthorn to serve Oakley before Brill it will then enter Brill via Oakley Road and travel onto Long Crendon from there. The afternoon journeys will do the reverse of this. The ‘Leatherslade Farm’ stops on the B4011 will not be served.

Penn Road, Knotty Green : Tuesday 7th to Wednesday 15th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 377 will operate as normal from Hazlemere to Penn, after serving New Road, Penn it will then need to divert via Hammersley Lane, A40 London Road towards Beaconsfield, then serve Holtspur, and Beaconsfield as far as the stop adjacent to the Red Lion at Knotty Green turning back round on Forty Green Lane and vice versa. As such the 377 bus will need extra time and may only be able to complete 2 of the 3 round trips. The driver will advise on the first morning journey. The ‘School Road’, ‘Penn Pond’, ‘The Red Lion’ (Penn) and the stop opposite The Red Lion.

Mentmore and Ledburn : Thursday 9th to Wednesday 15th May 2019, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to a closure in Mentmore the Tuesday 162 bus will not be able to serve either of these locations during this period.

Hicks Farm Rise, High Wycombe : Monday 13th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Micklefield Road and Misbourne Avenue. As such route 39 buses will divert via Misbourne Avenue and not serve the stop nearest the Hicks Farm Rise junction on Roebuck Avenue or the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ stop on Hicks Farm Rise. The nearest served stop is on Roebuck Avenue opposite Gynant Road.

Oxford Street, Lee Common : Monday 13th May 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during this day. The 190 buses will divert via Ballinger Road and Lee Clump Road and will not be able to serve the stops on Oxford Street.

Bourton Road, Buckingham : Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th May 2019, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works at these times the 132 and 151 buses will not be able to serve Bourton Road, Bourtonville and Badgers Way on this day.

Portway Road, Twyford : Monday 13th to Thursday 16th May 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to a road closure here for Transport for Buckinghamshire works bus routes 16 and 18 will need to divert between these times and will not be able to serve stops on Portway Road and Bicester Road in Twyford or stops in Poundon between these times.

Forty Green Road, Penn : Wednesday 15th to Thursday 23rd May 2019, 7a.00m to 7.00pm. Due to a road closure here the 377 and Beaconsfield Community Bus will not be able to serve this road during this period.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Churchway and Woodways, Haddenham : Monday 8th April to Sunday 19th May 2019. Due to SGN works the Thame bound stop on Woodways and the ‘Village Hall’ stop on Churchway will be suspended on these dates passengers are advised to use the ‘Fort End’ stop on Tacks Lane instead.

World’s End Lane, Weston Turville : Monday 15th April to Monday 27th May 2019. Due to development works in the vicinity the two ‘Church Lane’ stops will be suspended during this period. The nearest available stops are at ‘The Chandos’ at the junction of World’s End Lane/Marroway.

Lower Road, Stoke Mandeville : Saturday 11th to Monday 13th May 2019. Due to gas pipe laying works the ‘Ranch House’ stop towards Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ambulance Station’ stop further along Lower Road (near Stoke Mandeville Hospital).

Nashleigh Hill, Chesham : Monday 13th May 2019, 9.00am to 5.00pm. Due to JB Construction works in the vicinity the two ‘Preston Hill’ stops will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Nash Arms PH’ or ‘Lycrome Road’ stops instead.

Pond Road, Holmer Green : Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th May 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the two ‘Pond’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Browns Road’ stops instead.

Hill Avenue, Amersham : Sunday 19th May 2019, 9.30am to 4.00pm. Due to Affinity Water works in the vicinity, both ‘Oakfield Corner’ stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Railway Station’ stops instead.
