The Chaplaincy team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has won the ‘Putting people first’ category at the 2019 Buckinghamshire County Council Dignity in Care Awards.
The Dignity In Care Awards, which have been held for the last six years, celebrate outstanding examples of how carers demonstrate dignity and respect across Buckinghamshire.
Nominations are made by the public across eight categories, with winners receiving their awards at a ceremony held on Tuesday 14th May at The Oculus in Aylesbury.
Lindsay Van Dijk, Lead Chaplain, said: ‘The spiritual and pastoral care department are overjoyed to have been awarded first place for the ‘Putting people first’ category.
We strive to always provide person-centred care and to have received this recognition is thrilling. We especially wanted to thank Yvette Mukandori who kindly nominated our team.‘
