Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 17th June 2019
Week commencing Monday 17th June 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Bus Diversions
High Street, Cheddington : Tuesday 11th to Friday 21st June 2019, 7.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the 164 bus service will need to divert via Ivinghoe at these times and will not serve the stop on Cheddington High Street. Passengers are advised to use the stops on The Green instead. Please note journey time will take longer due to this diversion.
Portway Road, Twyford : Thursday 13th to Wednesday 19th June 2019 (excluding weekends), 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works bus routes 16 and 18 will need to divert via Charndon and will not be able to serve Twyford or Poundon during these times.
Windmill Road and Fulmer Road, Fulmer : Saturday 22nd June 2019, 11.00am to 6.30pm. Due to Fulmer Village Fete part of these roads will be closed on this day. Bus route 104 will need to divert via Fulmer Drive and Stoke Common Road, as such the ‘Oldhouse Farm’, ‘Old Post Office’ and ‘Black Horse PH’ stops will not be served. The nearest alternative stops are further along Windmill Road or the stops on Fulmer Road near the junction of Fulmer Drive.
Bus Stop Suspensions
Main Road, Grendon Underwood : Wednesday 12th to Tuesday 18th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Rumptons Paddock’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Combined School’ stops instead.
Bookerhill Road, High Wycombe : Monday 17th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Mentmore Road’ stop for passengers travelling away from High Wycombe will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use alternative stops on Bookerhill Road either at ‘Roundwood Road’ or the ‘Field Road’ junctions.
Chinnor Road, Chinnor : Monday 17th to Wednesday 19th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Beechgrove Farm’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the traffic management and hail clearly for the bus driver to stop.
Ibstone Road, Ibstone : Tuesday 18th to Thursday 20th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Fox PH’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Grey’s Lane’ or ‘Commonhill Wood’ stops instead.
Buckingham Road, Edgcott : Tuesday 18th to Thursday 20th June 2019. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Village Hall’ stops will be suspended. Passengers are advised to wait where safe and hail clearly for the bus.
New Street, Aylesbury : Tuesday 18th to Thursday 20th June 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the New Street stop will be suspended. A temporary stop will be provided further up New Street, passengers are advised to wait here and hail clearly for buses to stop.
West Street, Marlow : Thursday 20th June 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water the ‘Spinfield Lane’ stop towards Henley will be suspended on this night. The nearest alternative stops are the ‘Spittal Street’ stop on Chapel Street or the ‘Spinfield Lane’ stop on Henley Road.
