A car collided with a man following altercation involving 15 people in Amersham on Sunday 14th July 2019.
At around 1.50am, 15 people were involved in an altercation near the Chequers Pub, London Road West in Amersham.
During the altercation, a blue Volkswagen Golf was driven in to the car park of the pub. One of the people involved in the altercation jumped on the vehicle which then left the car park and travelled in the direction of Amersham Old Town.
The vehicle then returned. It was being driven on the wrong side of the road and mounted the pavement, colliding with a man in his twenties who, as a result of the collision, sustained injuries to his back, chest and head. He was treated at Wexham Park Hospital for his injuries and has since been discharged.
Investigating officer PC Emma Card of Amersham police station, said: ‘This is a serious incident and we would like anyone with information to come forward.
The victim, although injured, was fortunate not to have sustained significantly more serious injuries.
It is believed that the incident is isolated and connected with the earlier altercation in the car park.
