Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 22nd July 2019

Week commencing Monday 22nd July 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Aylesbury Road, Haddenham : Wednesday 17th to Thursday 25th July 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works on behalf of Transport for Buckinghamshire, buses will be divert as follows. After serving the ‘Woodways’ stop in Haddenham, buses will divert via Ford Road and Dinton before resuming their normal route to Stone (and vice versa). Stops between ‘Woodways’ in Haddenham and Stone Village Hall will not be served during these evenings.

Main Road, Naphill : Monday 22nd July 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. Towards High Wycombe the 300 buses after serving the ‘Grimms Meadow’ stop in Walter’s Ash will divert via Bradenham Wood Lane, the A4010 and West Wycombe Road and vice versa. As such stops in Naphill, Coombe Lane, Hughenden Valley and Hughenden Road will not be served at these times.

Village Road/Common Road, Dorney : Monday 22nd to Tuesday 30 July 2019. Due to works to replace the cattle grid on Eaton Wick bus routes 15, 63, 68, will need to divert. The 15 will run between Eton Wick and Slough only and will not serve stops in Dorney. Towards Slough the 63/68 buses will run as normal until after serving the ‘Dents Corner’ stops on Court Lane when they will divert via Lake End Road and Bath Road and vice versa. They will not serve the ‘Palmers Arms’ stops in Dorney Village or stops in Eaton Wick and Eaton.

High Street, Cheddington : Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th July 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works bus route 164 will need to divert via Ivinghoe, B488, Station Road and into Cheddington. The stop on the High Street will not be served.

Lark Vale, Watermead : Wednesday 24th July 2019, from 9.30am. Due to works on the bus bollards the 6/6A buses will need to divert on this day. After serving Dunsham Lane, buses will need to divert via the Elmhurst Road, Buckingham Road and into Watermead turning round at Watermeadow. Buses will not serve Cleveland Road, Lark Vale, Partridge Way or the ‘Gull Way’ stops on Watermeadow.

Aylesbury Road, Great Missenden : Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the 55 will divert via the A413 and enter Great Missenden at Link Road, turning round at the railway station. As such the stops on Aylesbury Road will not be served.

Oxford Road, Lee Common : Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July 2019, 9.30am to 3.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the 177 and 190 will divert via Ballinger Road, Chartridge Lane and Lee Clump Road (and vice versa) before resuming their normal route. As such the stops on Oxford Street will not be served.

A40, London Road/White Hill, Loudwater : Friday 26th July to Wednesday 7 August 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works buses will need to divert on these evenings. As such the ‘Tesco’ stops and the ‘Whitehouse Lane’ stops will not be served.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Bells Hill, Stoke Poges : Wednesday 3rd to Wednesday 24th July 2019. Due to Cadent Gas works the ‘Sefton Park’ stops will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Pennylets Green’ stops instead.

Friarage Road, Aylesbury : Monday 8th to Sunday 21st July 2019, Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Morrisons’ stop will be suspended for journeys leaving Aylesbury. Passengers are advised to use Aylesbury Bus Station.

Wexham Street, Wexham : Monday 15th July to Friday 2nf August 2019. Due to Cadent Gas works both ‘Berry Lane’ stops will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Plough Lane’ stops instead.

Station Road, Loudwater : Saturday 20th to Wednesday 24th July 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Station Road’ stops will be suspended the nearest alternatives are on Boundary Road.

Woodside Road, Amersham : Wednesday 17th to Tuesday 23rd July 2019. Due to works on behalf of Affinity Water the ‘Plantation Road’ stop towards Amersham Station will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Green Lane’ stop further along Woodside Road instead.

A41, Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Wednesday 17th July until Thursday 31st October 2019. Due to development and road layout works the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will be suspended for this period. The nearest served alternatives are the ‘Peugeot Garage’ or the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stops.

Aylesbury Road, Wendover : Sunday 21st to Wednesday 24th July 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Perry Street’ stop towards the village centre will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Health Centre’ stop instead.

Lower Icknield Way, Marsworth : Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th July 2019, 9.30am to 5.00pm. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Vicarage Road’ stops will be suspended. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the traffic management and hail for the buses to stop.

New Road, High Wycombe : Monday 22 to Wednesday 24th July 2019, 7.00am to 7.00pm. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Squirrel Lane’ stop for journeys away from High Wycombe will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Turnpike Corner’ stop instead.

Risborough Road, Little Kimble : Monday 22nd to Friday 26th July 2019. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘Brookside Lane’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Railway Station’ stops instead.

Aylesbury Road, Monks Risborough : Tuesday 23rd to Saturday 27th July 2019. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘Peters Lane’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Holloway’ or ‘Avenue’ stops instead.

Hughenden Road, High Wycombe : Thursday 25th to Friday 26th July 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘Coates Lane’ stop towards High Wycombe. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Beaconsfield Arms’ stop instead further along Hughenden Road.

Oxford Road, Aylesbury : Thursday 25th July to Friday 2nd August 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Churchill Avenue’ stop towards Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop opposite ‘Aylesbury College’ instead.

Rose Avenue, Hazlemere : Thursday 25th July to Friday 16th August 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Sir William Ramsay School’ stop towards High Wycombe will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rose Avenue’ stop near to the junction with Penn Road instead.
