Car caught fire following collision on M40

A car caught fire following a collision on the M40 involving three vehicles on Sunday 28th July 2019.

The incident occurred on the southbound carriageway of the M40 at Junction 2 (Beaconsfield).

Firefighters were called to the scene at 12.18pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from High Wycombe fire station as well as one from Beaconsfield fire station and one from Slough fire station. An officer also attended.

The firefighters used one hose reel and one set of breathing apparatus during the operation to extinguish the fire.
