Woman injured as car and bus collide on the M40

A car and bus collided on the M40 during the early hours of Saturday 31st August 2019.

The collision occurred on the southbound carriageway between Junction 2 (Beaconsfield) and Junction 1A (M25 interchange).

Firefighters were called to the incident at 3.57am. One fire appliance with crew attended from Gerrards Cross fire station as well as two from Slough fire station.

Before the firefighters arrived two men managed to escape from the vehicles in which they has been travelling. However an injured woman was trapped in one of the vehicles.

The firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the injured woman who was handed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
