Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 30th September 2019
Week commencing Monday 30th September 2019 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Bus Diversions
Three Households, Chalfont St Giles : Thursday 3rd to Friday 11th October 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due a road closure for Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and bus route 580 will need to divert at these times. Stops between ‘Newbarn Lane’ in Seer Green and the ‘Windsor Road’ stop on the A40 Oxford Road, Gerrards Cross will not be served. As such the service 580 will not serve Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter and the northern part of Gerrards Cross during this period. Passengers from Chalfont St Giles & Chalfont St Peter towards Gerrards Cross and Uxbridge are advised to use service 105 or 335 instead.
Frogmoor/Oxford Street, High Wycombe : Monday 7th October 2019, 9.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Network Rail works on the bridge the late evening bus routes 30 and 300 will need to divert via Archway and will not serve the stops on Frogmoor or Oxford Street.
A41 Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Monday 7th to Thursday 10th October 2019, 7pm to 6am. Due to a road closure for Transport for Buckinghamshire works part of this road will be closed on these evenings and buses will divert. Stops along the Aston Clinton Road between New Road and Weston Road will not be served.
Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 7th October to Friday 29th November 2019. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in one direction starting with westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead. The eastbound closure dates will be confirmed on this page.
Bus Stop Suspensions
A41, Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Wednesday 17th July until Thursday 31 October 2019. Due to development and road layout works the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will be suspended for this period. The nearest served alternatives are the ‘Peugeot Garage’ or the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stops.
Marsh Lane, Dorney Reach : Monday 9th September to Thursday 31st October 2019. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas the ‘Harcourt Road’ stop towards Maidenhead will be suspended on these dates. 63 and 68 passengers are advised to wait back along the road directly opposite the shelter in the other direction.
Hughenden Avenue, High Wycombe : Wednesday 18th September to Wednesday 2nd October 2019. Due to gas main replacement works both ‘Brindley Avenue’ stops will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the stops on The Pastures.
Bradenham Road, Bradenham / West Wycombe : Monday 23rd September to Friday 4th October 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Bradenham Road’ stop with the wooden shelter will be suspended on these days. A temporary stop will be provided nearby.
Desborough Avenue, High Wycombe : Thursday 26th to Monday 30th September 2019. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Plumer Road’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use ‘The Wendover Arms PH’ stops instead.
Hughenden Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 28th to Monday 30th September 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘Beaconsfield Arms’ stop towards High Wycombe will be suspended on these days. Passengers for route 30 are advised to use the stop on Hughenden Road and for route 300 the ‘Coates Lane’ stop further along Hughenden Road instead.
Amersham Road, Hazlemere : Monday 30th September 2019. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘De Havilland Drive’ stops will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St John’s Road’ stops instead.
Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Monday 30th September to Friday 11 October 2019. Due to works on behalf of Affinity Water the stop towards Chesham near the Groves Way junction will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the next stop along Chartridge Lane near the Berkeley Avenue junction instead.
Cambridge Street, Aylesbury : Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th October 2019. Due to Thames Water works the stop outside the Bathstore will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Bierton Road opposite the Weavers instead.
Bishopstone : Monday 7th to Friday 18th October 2019. Due to UK Power Networks working in the vicinity the ‘Harrow PH’ stop from Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the works area and hail clearly for the bus.
