Man’s shoulder dislocated during assault in High Wycombe town centre

Two people were injured during an assault in High Wycombe town centre on Tuesday 1st October 2019.

At around 6.00pm two officers from Thames Valley Police were driving towards Oxford Street in High Wycombe. As the police officers approached the Anotolia Food Store on the corner of Frogmoor, they saw two men involved in an altercation further along Oxford Street.

The two police officers called for reinforcements to assist, once the additional officers had arrived, both parties involved in the altercation were separated.

One of the men involved in the altercation had dislocated his shoulder while the other man had sustained an injury causing blood around his face.

Investigating officer PC Luke Midwinter, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘This incident was in the early evening and was a shocking sight for anyone who witnessed it. This kind of incident is rare and the police are looking to deal with these incidents robustly.

I am appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard the altercation or has any video footage of it either on their mobile phone or on their dash-cam to come forward.
