Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 7th October 2019

Week commencing Monday 7th October 2019 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road/Maxwell Road Beaconsfield : Wednesday 2nd October 2019 until further notice. Due to a sewer collapse buses are diverting and will not serve these streets until repairs are made.

Frogmoor/Oxford Street, High Wycombe : Monday 7th October 2019, 9.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Network Rail works on the bridge the late evening bus routes 30 and 300 will need to divert via Archway and will not serve the stops on Frogmoor or Oxford Street.

A41 Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Monday 7th to Friday 18th October 2019, 8pm to 5am. Due to a road closure for Transport for Buckinghamshire works part of this road will be closed on these evenings and buses will divert. Stops along the Aston Clinton Road between New Road and Weston Road will not be served after 8.00pm.

Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 7th October 2019 to Friday 29th November. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in one direction starting with westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead. The eastbound closure dates will be confirmed on this page.

Langley Park Road, Iver : Until further notice due to Network Rail works in the Slough area, Service 3 will divert via Thorney Lane North, Richings Way, North Park and High Street Langley and not serve Langley Park Road.

Hughenden Road, High Wycombe : Friday 11th October 2019, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the evening 300 buses will need to divert on this evening. Buses will divert via the West Wycombe Road, A4010 and Bradenham Wood Lane. As such will not be able to serve Hughenden Road, Valley Road or Naphill.

Buckingham Charter Fair : From 10.00am on Friday 11th October 2019 to end of Saturday 12th October 2019 and from 10.00am on Friday 18th October 2019 until the end of Saturday 20th October 2019. During these times the Bus Stand on Buckingham High Street will not be served:

  • Services 18, 131, 132 and 151 to Akeley, Maids Moreton, and Western Avenue will depart from the Moreton Road stop.
  • Service 18 to Bicester and Service 60 to Aylesbury will depart from London Road opposite Chandos Road.
  • Service X60 buses will serve the ‘Chandos Road’ stops located on London Road before diverting via Bourton Road and the A413.
  • Service 80 PM journeys will drop off at the stops on Moreton Road.
  • Service 83 and X80 PM journeys will drop off at the ‘Chandos Road’ stops.
  • Service X5 will serve ‘Tesco’ stops only on the London Road.

Bus Stop Suspensions

A41, Aston Clinton Road : Aylesbury, Wednesday 17th July until Thursday 31 October 2019. Due to development and road layout works the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will be suspended for this period. The nearest served alternatives are the ‘Peugeot Garage’ or the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stops.

Marsh Lane, Dorney Reach : Monday 9th September to Thursday 31st October 2019. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas the ‘Harcourt Road’ stop towards Maidenhead will be suspended on these dates. 63 and 68 passengers are advised to wait back along the road directly opposite the shelter in the other direction.

Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Monday 30th September to Friday 11th October 2019. Due to works on behalf of Affinity Water the stop towards Chesham near the Groves Way junction will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the next stop along Chartridge Lane near the Berkeley Avenue junction instead.

Bishopstone : Monday 7th to Friday 18th October 2019. Due to UK Power Networks working in the vicinity the ‘Harrow PH’ stop from Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the works area and hail clearly for the bus.

Boundary Road, Wooburn Green : Monday 7th to Friday 11th October 2019. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas both ‘Hedge Lea’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Knaves Beech’ or ‘Boundary Place’ stops both located on Boundary Road, instead.

Aylesbury End, Beaconsfield : Monday 7th October 2019 to Friday 1st November. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas stops H and G will be suspended. Temp stops will be provided away from the traffic management and passengers are advised to wait there instead.

High Street, Edlesborough : Tuesday 8th October 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both ‘Combined School’ stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St Mary’s Church’ or ‘Playing Fields’ stops instead.

Sheepcote Dell Road, Holmer Green : Tuesday 8th October 2019, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Winters Way’ stop towards Amersham and Chesham will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bat and Ball PH’ stop on The Common instead.

Amersham Road, Hazlemere : Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th October 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works both the ‘St John’s Church’ will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘De Havilland’ stops instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Tuesday 8th October 2019 until further notice. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘King George V’ stop will be suspended. A temp stop will be provided away from the traffic management and passengers are advised to wait there instead.

Marroway, Weston Turville : Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th October 2019. Due to Thames Water works the stop towards Aylesbury nearest the junction with the Wendover Road will need to be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Weston Turville Turn’ stop on the Wendover Road. Please take care when crossing the Wendover Road.

Gore Road, Burnham : Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th October 2019. Due to Thames Water works both stops near Almond Road will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fairfield Road’ stops on Britwell Road instead.
