Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 11th November 2019

Week commencing Monday 11th November 2019 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 14th October 2019 to Saturday 29th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in the westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead. The eastbound closure dates will be confirmed on this page.

Magpie Lane, Coleshill : Tuesday 12th November 2019, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to a road closure service 71 / 73 buses will not serve stops along Magpie Lane at these times. Passengers for ‘The Red Lion PH’ stop on Village Road are advised to wait just before the junction with Barracks Hill (near the school) and hail for the bus.

Pond Park, Chesham : Wednesday 13th to Friday 15th November 2019, 7.00am to 7.00pm. Due to a road closure on Addison Road bus services 1/1A and 78 will need to divert as follows:

• Services 1/1A : After serving the ‘Hope Church’ stops on Upper Belmont Road the 1/1A buses will divert via Greenway and Vale Road before resuming their normal route. As such they will not serve the stops on Addison Road, Lansdowne Road, Lyndhurst Road or the ‘Windsor Road’ stop on Upper Belmont Road.
• Service 78 : After serving the ‘Hope Church’ stops on Upper Belmont Road the 78 buses will divert via Upper Belmont Road, Lyndhurst Road and Lynton Road and vice versa. As such they will not serve the stops on Addison Road, Lansdowne Road and Greenway. The stops on Lynton Road will be served in the opposite direction than usual, so please wait on the opposite side of the road for services to Chesham town centre.

Langley Park Road / High Street, Iver : Thursday 14th November 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works, Service 3 will divert via Thorney Lane North, Richings Way, North Park and High Street Langley and not serve Langley Park Road. Service 583 will need to turn round at Dutton Way and will not serve the ‘Junior School’ or ‘Widecroft Road’ stops.

Main Street, Charndon : Friday 15th to Friday 29th November 2019, 7.00am to 5.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and the route 16 journey from the ‘Main Street’ stop will depart from the stop adjacent to the Recreation Ground instead.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Amersham Road, Hazlemere : Monday 28th October 2019 to Wednesday 13th November 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘St John’s Church’ stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘De Havilland Drive’ stops instead.

Oxford Road, Denham : Wednesday 30th October 2019 to Tuesday 12th November 2019, 9.30am to 4.00pm. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Pinstone Way’ stop towards Gerrards Cross will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fulmer Lane’ or ‘Ugly Ducking PH’ instead.

Gerrards Cross Road, Stoke Poges : Friday 1st to Friday 15th November 2019. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas both ‘Larchmoor Park’ stops will be suspended on these dates. The nearest alternative stops are the ‘Fox and Pheasant PH’ stops on Windsor Road.

A41, Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Monday 11th to Wednesday 13th November 2019, 7.30pm to 6.00am. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘Southern Road’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will be suspended on these nights. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Henley’s roundabout’ or ‘West Street’ stop instead.

Lower Street, Stoke Mandeville : Monday 11th to Tuesday 19th November 2019. Due to works in the vicinity both ‘The Bell’ stops will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘The Bull PH’ instead.

Plantation Road, Amersham : Wednesday 13th November 2019, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of Openreach, both the ‘New Road’ stops will be suspended between these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Grimsdell Lane’ stops instead.

Amersham Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November 2019. Due to Thames Water works in the vicinity the ‘Maybrook Gardens’ stop towards Hazlemere will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Amersham Hill Drive’ stop instead.

A40 London Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach both the ‘Rayners Avenue’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Loudwater Turn’ stops instead.
