Criminal Behaviour Order issued to man in High Wycombe

| February 4, 2020

A man has been issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order in High Wycombe.

On Wednesday 29th January 2020, a 53 year old man of Tilling Crescent, High Wycombe appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates Court where he was issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO)

The CBO, which is in place for six years, prohibits the 53 year old man from:

  • Entering High Wycombe town centre.
  • Being drunk or entering any pub or bar in High Wycombe.
  • Possessing any open container of alcohol in a public place in High Wycombe.
  • From contacting the emergency services or the county council unless he has a genuine requirement to do so.

PC Glynn McCarthy, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘[The 53 year old man] has been a prolific offender in High Wycombe town centre for a number of years, regularly behaving anti-socially, causing a nuisance to local residents and business owners and actively wasting time of a number of organisations.

His behaviour has had a real impact on those who live and work in the town centre and I’m pleased that we have been able to obtain this CBO to put an end to this behaviour.

I hope that this CBO, banning [the 53 year old man] from being drunk and entering High Wycombe town centre, serves as a wake-up call and will help with his long-term engagement with support services.
