Man sentenced for drugs supply in Chesham
A man has been sentenced for drugs supply in Chesham.
On Tuesday 18th February 2020, at Aylesbury Crown Court, a 31 year old man of Highfield Road, Chesham pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply a class B drug and one count of possession of criminal property. At the same hearing the 31 year old man was sentenced to one year and eight months’ imprisonment.
The conviction follows a warrant that was carried out by officers from Thames Valley Police at an address in Highfield Road, Chesham on Monday 13th January 2020. On searching the property, police officers found a large quantity of cannabis and cash. The 31 year old man was arrested on the same day and charged on Tuesday 14th January 2020.
Investigating officer, PC Harley Richardson, based at Amersham police station said: ‘[The 31 year old man] had a significant role in the supply of drugs across Chesham and the neighbouring areas.
He profited considerable amounts of cash from the crimes he committed which has been recovered along with the controlled substances.
This sentence highlights the seriousness of supplying drugs and Thames Valley Police’s commitment through the Stronghold campaign to tackling these offences.‘
