Scouts and Girl Guides to hit the stage for the High Wycombe Gang Show from Wed 1st to Sat 4th April 2020
Members of the Scouts and Girl Guides will be taking to the stage for High Wycombe Gang Show from Wed 1st to Sat 4th April 2020.
The entertainment will be provided by more than 100 children, young people and leaders from Wycombe Scouts and Girlguiding.
All of the performers are aged between 8 up to adults and for many of them this will be their debut on stage. During the rehearsals, the cast are having fun, working as a team, gaining in confidence and making new friends. Cubs and Scouts will also achieve their Entertainer badge and Brownies will gain their performer badge.
The show is written, directed and produced by adult volunteers within Scouts and Girlguiding. The props, scenery and outfits are made by volunteers.
Adult volunteer and cast member Caroline Hewitson said: ‘Although everybody involved in the Gang Show from children to the band to the Producer are volunteers, the show will be at a very high standard.
The cast have been brilliant at the rehearsals and are so committed to ensuring the show is a great success.‘
Cast member and Scout Amy Baker said: ‘I’m really enjoying being part of the team. We’ve been practising very hard.
The most difficult bits are the dance routines but I am having lots of fun learning them. I’m really looking forward to being on stage singing and dancing in front of the audience!‘
The 2020 Gang Show is being held at the Lancaster Arts Centre at Wycombe Abbey Girls School, Abbey Way, High Wycombe, HP11 1PE with performances taking place on :
- Wednesday 1st April 2020 at 7:30pm.
- Thursday 2nd April 2020 at 7:30pm.
- Friday 3rd April 2020 at 7:30pm.
- Saturday 4th April 2020 at 2:00pm.
- Saturday 4th April 2020 at 7:30pm.
Proceeds from the Gang Show will be going to the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
