Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 6th April 2020
Week commencing Monday 6th April 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
There are a number of changes to Bus Services in Buckinghamshire due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.
As a result of staff shortages and the reduced demand for services during the ongoing pandemic some bus companies are making changes to their timetables as shown below. By clicking on the link you can view specific changes to the service provided by each operator.
Arriva Buses : All services revised please see link for details and timetables.
Beaconsfield Community Bus : Service is withdrawn until further notice.
Carousel Buses : All services revised please see link for details and timetables.
First Buses : All services in Buckinghamshire will operate to their Sunday timetables 7 days a week, except service 12/13 which will be withdrawn until further notice.
Langston & Tasker : From Monday 30th March 2020 route 18 between Buckingham and Bicester will operate a revised timetable.
Red Eagle : Revised timetables for routes 61 and 354.
Redline Buses : Revised timetables in operation on routes 2, 4, 6/6A, 11, 13, 14, 110, 164, 320, 321, 335, WP1. Please see link for the latest timetables.
Red Rose Travel : Revised timetables for routes SR1, 7, 10, 16, 60, 71, 78, 100, 275. Please see link for further details.
Risborough Area Community Bus : All services are suspended until further notice.
Stagecoach : Revised X5 timetable from Monday 30th March. Please see link above.
Star Travel : Services 3, 5A and 174 withdrawn until further notice. The daytime route 5 service is also withdrawn, but the journeys between 7.00pm and 11.00pm, will continue to operate. Bus service 162 operating as normal timetable.
Thames Valley Buses / Courtney Buses : Minor timetable change to 459 service. 8.38am from Heathrow will not run.
Winslow and District Community Bus : All services are suspended with immediate effect until at least the end of May 2020. This impacts the following routes: 54A,B,C, 67, 67a and 68, & WBOC.
Z & S Transport : No reported changes.
Concessionary Bus Passes
In order to allow older and more vulnerable passengers to access early opening times at shops and other essential services we have asked all bus companies to allow holders of concessionary bus passes free travel at any time. This will be in place on all local bus services in Buckinghamshire until further notice.
Real Time Passenger Information
Due to short notice timetable changes caused by the COVID-19 crisis the Real Time Passenger Information will not be available to view on screens, apps or nextbuses.mobi. This will be restored once the new data is available.
Bus Diversions
No planned diversions.
Bus Stop Suspensions
Addison Road, Steeple Claydon : Tuesday 18th February 2020 to Friday 26th June 2020. Due to development works the stops near the junction of Vicarage Road will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops, provided away from the works, instead.
A41, Westcott : Monday 30th March 2020 to Friday 8th May 2020. Due to works to construct a roundabout both ‘Westcott Turn’ bus stops will be suspended during this period.
A413, London Road, Chalfont St Giles : Monday 6th to Friday 24th April 2020. Due to works on behalf of HS2 the ‘King’s Road’ stop for journeys towards Amersham will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the next stop along the London Road, just before the Vets.
A41 Tring Road, Aylesbury : Friday 10th to Tuesday 14th April 2020, 8.00am to 6.00pm. Due to works on behalf of Openreach the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the next stop along the Tring Road at ‘Bedgrove Brook’ instead.
Holmers Farm Way, High Wycombe : Friday 10th to Tuesday 14th April 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Alford Road’ stop for journeys into the town centre will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Westwood’ stop instead further back along Holmers Farm Way.
