Over £10,000 has been raised in a week for the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust COVID-19 Staff Wellbeing Appeal.

The appeal was launched on Tuesday 7th April 2020 by The Trust Charitable Fund with the support of Mix96, with the aim of raising £10,000 to provide extra support for staff at the Trust during these challenging times.

Generous donations from residents across Buckinghamshire have meant the target of £10,000 was achieved by Tuesday 14th April 2020. However the appeal is still live on JustGiving as many kind hearted residents are continuing to fund raise for the appeal.

The money raised will allow the Trust to provide wellbeing packs for colleagues who are unable to go home or who are working long shifts and enable us to provide comfortable areas for staff to sleep or take breaks in during the pandemic.

The Chief Executive of the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, Neil Macdonald, said: ‘The generosity and support from the local community has been outstanding.

To raise over £10,000 in a week is phenomenal. The money will help us to provide extra support to our staff who are working extremely hard.

I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated to the appeal and to those continuing to support our staff.
