Thames Valley Police are appealing for information after man suffered serious injuries in High Wycombe.

Just after 10.30pm on Thursday 21st May 2020, a 22 year old man attended Wycombe General Hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds, however it is not clear how the man sustained his injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Peter Wall, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘This is an unusual case in which a man has attended hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds.

He is currently unable to recall how he received these injuries, but says he fell from his green and grey Carrera mountain bike near to Cryers Hill, south of Lisley Fields and north of Great Kingshill, where he was cycling.

I am looking to recover this bicycle, and would appeal for anybody who was in the vicinity of Cryers Hill between 8pm and 10.30pm last night and saw anything that could help this investigation to please contact police.

Similarly, if anybody has seen a bicycle matching this description in the area that has been abandoned, please get in touch with us.

I am also keen to hear from anybody that may have come to the man’s assistance, as they may have vital information that can help us piece this incident together.

If anybody was driving in the area and has dash-cam, I would ask you to please check this and contact police if it has captured anything that may assist this investigation.

I am keeping an open mind as to the circumstances on how the man sustained these injuries. Thankfully, they are not life-threatening and he is recovering, but I need to ascertain how the injuries came about, whether these were accidental or otherwise.
