Police appeal for witnesses following an incident involving a machete in London Road, High Wycombe

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an offensive weapon incident in London Road, High Wycombe.

On Tuesday 7th July 2020, between 3.50pm and 4.30pm, a group of four boys were on bicycles in London Road.

The boys were involved in an altercation with a man who threatened the boys with a machete which he had pulled from his rucksack. During the incident nobody was injured.

Investigating officer, PC Alex Broughton, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who has information about what happened, to please come forward.

This happened in the middle of the day when I believe there were people around who may have seen what happened.

Police have charged a 28 year old man from High Wycombe in relation to the incident.
