Man hit over the head with a bottle and knocked unconscious during incident of GBH in High Wycombe

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by police following an incident of grievous bodily harm in High Wycombe.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of grievous bodily harm in High Wycombe.

On Thursday 16th July 2020, at 3.35am, two men in their twenties were in Desborough Street with a group of other men. They were approached by the a man and became involved in a verbal altercation.

During the altercation the first victim was punched in the face, however they did not require hospital treatment.

Another man was hit over the head with a glass bottle and knocked unconscious before being kicked several times while he was on the ground. the man sustained several deep cuts to his head and required hospital treatment, however he has since been discharged.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Alexander Trevivian, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing to anyone who has information about this offence to come forward.

We have charged a man in connection with this incident, but I am appealing for any further witnesses to the incident to get in touch.

Police have charged a 36 year old man from High Wycombe in connection with the incident.
