Police appeal for witnesses after a man is assaulted in West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe

An assault on a man in West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe has resulted in an appeal for witnesses by Thames Valley Police.

On Wednesday 29th July 2020, at around 7.00pm, a man in his forties was walking along West Wycombe Road near the BP Garage. The man in his forties was approached from behind by another man and knocked to the ground, sustaining cuts to his head.

The man in his forties required treatment at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital, however he has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Jemma Wenman, based at High Wycombe police station said: ‘This is a busy road and it is likely that others may have witnessed this incident.

Police have arrested a 31 year old man from High Wycombe on suspicion of assault with injury, he has since been released under investigation.
