Boy, 10, kidnapped in Aylesbury – Police launch appeal for witnesses
An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following a kidnap incident in Aylesbury.
On Tuesday 18th August 2020, at around 2.45pm, a 10 year old boy was in Berryfield Road, Aylesbury when he was approached by a man in a car who asked if the boy wanted a free kitten.
The boy got into the car, believed to be a small red Toyota. The boy’s brother saw what happened and followed the car as it was driven to the Meadowcroft Community Centre car park where the 10 year old boy was let out.
Police have arrested a 22 year old man from Birmingham in connection with the incident.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Rob Mogridge, based at Aylesbury police station said: ‘We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has any information about what happened to please come forward.
We believe this was a busy area around the time this happened and that there is a good chance that someone saw what happened.
We would also like to reassure the local community that an arrest has been made and we are conducting a thorough investigation into what happened.
