Police appeal for witnesses following an attempted burglary in Marlow

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an attempted burglary in Marlow.

On Wednesday 23rd September 2020, sometime between 10.15pm and 10.20pm an attempt was made to enter a property in Dean Street in Marlow.

It was reported that a resident heard the front door of the property being opened before immediately closing, despite the resident having previously locked it.

No entry was not gained to the property and no items were taken during the incident however oil and a red coloured liquid had been left on the front door.

Investigating officer, PC Andrew Cummins, of High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing for witnesses to this incident of attempted burglary in Marlow.

Thankfully entry was not gained on this occasion, however I am appealing to anyone that can help with my investigation to get in touch.
