Police appeal for witnesses following firearm incident in High Wycombe on Christmas Day 2020
A firearm incident in High Wycombe on Christmas Day has resulted in an appeal for witnesses by Thames Valley Police.
On Friday 25th December 2020, at around 7.20pm, police officers were called to an address in Spearing Road, High Wycombe following a report of a person firing a weapon. During the incident nobody was injured.
Police have arrested a 21 year old man from High Wycombe in connection with the incident on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. He has been released on police bail.
A 20 year old man from High Wycombe has also been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and remains in custody.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant James Rocks, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘We are carrying out a thorough investigation into this incident and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this to please come forward.
We believe that there was a black saloon vehicle that left the scene shortly after the incident and we would appeal for anyone who has information about this vehicle to get in touch.
Also, we would urge anyone who has CCTV or motorists with dash-cams to check any footage in case it may have captured anything that could assist with this investigation.
