Arriva buses to run a reduced service in Aylesbury and High Wycombe from Sunday 17th January 2021

| January 14, 2021

Arriva buses will be running a reduced service in Aylesbury and High Wycombe from Sunday 17th January 2021.

The service reductions comes following the change in Government guidance with national lockdown measures in place in England.

Revised timetables can be viewed and downloaded online on the Arriva website at www.arrivabus.co.uk/help/coronavirus/coronavirus-timetable-information or using the Arriva UK Bus App, where you can plan your journey, view live bus information and purchase tickets all in one place.

Simon Mathieson, Area Managing Director for Arriva, said: ‘We are proud to be an integral part of our local communities and know that our services are essential to many people, including key workers who we all rely on so much.

We are committed to running vital services so essential journeys can be made, key workers can get to and from work, and school children of key workers can get into educational settings.

We have worked hard to design timetables that will cover these needs and continually monitor our service levels in line with demand. Wherever we can, we will adapt our services to meet demand and customer feedback. Please send us any feedback you have via one of our communications channels which can be found at arrivabus.co.uk/help/contact-us.

We’d like to reassure all those who need to travel with us that we are here when you need us, all of our buses are Covid-19 secure and undergo enhanced touchpoint cleaning each day.  Good ventilation of fresh air is ensured by keeping windows open wherever possible, so please wrap up warm. We look forward to welcoming more of our valued customers back to our services as soon as we can and miss seeing you all on a regular basis.

In line with government guidance, Arriva is operating social distancing measures on all buses. All Arriva buses will have reduced capacity to help keep you and bus travel safe. Seats within two metres of the driver are taped off, however wheelchair spaces will always remain available. A no standing policy will also be in place. When capacities are met, buses will show a ‘bus full’ sign and drivers will only stop to let passengers alight.

All bus passengers must wear a face covering throughout their entire journey, unless they are exempt. Face coverings must also be worn when inside transport hubs which includes bus stations, interchanges or travel shops.
