Week commencing Monday 3rd May 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until August 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to/from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.
Crest Road / John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Monday 25th January to Friday 3rd September 2021. Due to changes at the junction by Transport for Buckinghamshire Crest Road will be closed and works taking place on John Hall Way. As such the stop opp ‘Next’ and the ‘Empire Cinema’ stops will not be served during these months. Passengers are advised to use the ‘YMCA’ stop or the ‘Asda’ stop on Holmers Farm Way instead.
Little Horwood Road, Winslow : Monday 1st March to Monday 14th June 2021. Due to East-West Rail works this road will be closed during this period. From Swanbourne buses will enter Winslow by serving Magpie Way, High Street, Horn Street, Vicarage Road and High Street before continuing to The Horwoods. Journeys from Little Horwood will operate via Great Horwood and Winslow and serve the ‘Magpie Estate’ stop on Magpie Way before continuing to Swanbourne. Due to this and other closures along the route, service 50 will operate to a revised timetable until further notice.
Ledborough Lane, Beaconsfield : Thursday 18th March to Saturday 5th June 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during this period. Carousel’s BB11 school day route will divert via Amersham Road and Maxwell Road and will not serve Wilton road or Station Road.
Buckingham Road, Bletchley : Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th May 2021. Due to East-West Rail works on the railway bridge, bus route 50 will be unable to serve the Bus Station in Bletchley during these days. Passengers for Bletchley will need to alight at Bletchley Rail Station instead.
Beaconsfield Charter Fair : From 4.00pm on Sunday 9th May 2021 to 6.30am on Tuesday 11th May 2021. Due to this event, buses will not be able to serve stops on Aylesbury End, London End or Wycombe End (to the junction with Butlers Court Road). The nearest alternative stops are as follows:
- The ‘Cricket Ground’ stop on London Road, for services 101 and 102 towards Uxbridge.
- The stop adjacent to Candlemas Lane on Station Road for services towards High Wycombe.
- The stop opposite Candlemas Lane on Station Road for services 101, 102 and 104 towards Uxbridge, and route 103 towards Watford.
Bus Stop Closures
Gold Hill West, Chalfont St Peter : Monday 26th April 2021 to Monday 10th May 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the two Gold Hill West stops near the junction with Gold Hill North will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Jolly Farmer’ stops further along Gold Hill West or the ‘Leachcroft’ stops on Grove Lane instead.
Amersham Road, Chesham Bois : Thursday 29th April 2021 to Monday 3rd May 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Beacon School’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bois Avenue’ stops instead. These are located further along Amersham Road, towards Amersham.
Fulmer Road, Gerrards Cross : Friday 30th April 2021 to Wednesday 5th May 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Fulmer Drive’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Oldhouse Farm’ stops further along Fulmer Road.
Marlow Road, Bourne End : Saturday 1st to Wednesday 5th May 2021. Due to works in the vicinity the ‘Parade’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Loddon Road’ stop on Blind Lane instead.
Thame Road, Haddenham : Monday 3rd to Wednesday 5th May 2021. Due to BT works the two ‘Scotsgrove’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops which will be placed nearby away from the works.
Amersham Road, High Wycombe : Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th May 2021. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Maybrook Gardens’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Amersham Hill Drive’ stops instead.
