Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 17th May 2021

Week commencing Monday 17th May 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until August 2021 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Crest Road / John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Monday 25th January 2021 to Friday 3rd September 2021. Due to changes at the junction by Transport for Buckinghamshire Crest Road will be closed and works taking place on John Hall Way. As such the stop opp ‘Next’ and the ‘Empire Cinema’ stops will not be served during these months. Passengers are advised to use the ‘YMCA’ stop or the ‘Asda’ stop on Holmers Farm Way instead.

Little Horwood Road, Winslow : Monday 1 March to Monday 14th June 2021. Due to East-West Rail works this road will be closed during this period. From Swanbourne buses will enter Winslow by serving Magpie Way, High Street, Horn Street, Vicarage Road and High Street before continuing to The Horwoods. Journeys from Little Horwood will operate via Great Horwood and Winslow and serve the ‘Magpie Estate’ stop on Magpie Way before continuing to Swanbourne. Due to this and other closures along the route, service 50 will operate to a revised timetable until further notice.

Ledborough Lane, Beaconsfield : Thursday 18th March to Saturday 5th June 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during this period. Carousel’s BB11 school-day route will divert via Amersham Road and Maxwell Road and will not serve Wilton road or Station Road.

Steeple Claydon Road, Charndon : Monday 10th May 2021 to Friday 6th August 2021. Due to East-West Rail works this road will be closed between Portway Road and School Lane and buses 16 and 18 will need to divert. The 0645 and 0928 route 16 buses from Marsh Gibbon will start in Twyford instead then serving Marsh Gibbon and Main Street, Charndon before turning down School Hill. Route 16 passengers who use the Charndon Recreation Ground are advised to wait on Main Street instead. Bus route 18 will be unable to serve any stops in Charndon during this period.

Cliveden Road, Taplow : Wednesday 12th to Tuesday 18th May 2021. Due to urgent Thames Water repairs this road is currently closed. The Tuesday and Friday bus route 68 will serve the ‘Desborough Cottages’ and ‘Village Green’ stops in Taplow as normal then divert via Berry Hill, Bath Road and Lent Rise Road resuming normal route in Burnham. Stops on Taplow Common Road and Cliveden Road will not be served during this period.

Chartridge Lane, Chartridge : Monday 17th to Friday 21st May 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Cogdells Lane and Swan Bottom Crossroads. Bus routes 177 and 190 will need to divert and will be unable to serve the ‘St John’s Church’ stops in The Lee, the ‘Swan Bottom Crossroads’ stops and all stops on Chartridge Lane, except the school time 177 journeys which will run as normal. For stops between Chesham and Cogdells Lane passengers can use service 77.

Bus Stop Closures

Amersham Road, Chesham Bois : Monday 10th to Friday 28th May 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works the two ‘Beacon School’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bois Avenue’ stops instead.

Copthall Lane, Chalfont Common : Thursday 13th to Monday 17th May 2021. Due to works in the vicinity the ‘Copthall Lane’ stop for journeys from Slough will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ninings Road’ stops, located further along Copthall Lane, instead.

Cores End Road, Bourne End : Thursday 13th to Thursday 20th May 2021. Due to works in the vicinity for Cloud HQ the two ‘New Road’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Furlong Road or Station Road instead.

A413 Missenden Road, Amersham : Monday 17th to Wednesday 19th May 2021. Due to Affinity Water works in the vicinity the ‘Mop End Lane’ stop for journeys towards Great Missenden will not be served on these days.

Vicarage Road, Winslow : Monday 17th to Wednesday 19th May 2021. Due to Anglian Water works in the vicinity the two Vicarage Road stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Avenue Road’ stops on the High Street instead.

Stag Lane / Heath End Road, Great Kingshill : Tuesday 18th to Thursday 20th May 2021. Due to BT works the two stops on Stag Lane and the ‘Fernside’ stop on Heath End Road will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on The Common or further up Heath End Road instead.

Hampden Road, Speen : Tuesday 18 to Thursday 20th May 2021. Due to Thames Water works in the vicinity the two ‘King William IV PH’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised that the nearest served stops are the ‘Spring Coppice Lane’ on Chapel Hill.

Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Tuesday 18th to Monday 24th May 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the two ‘South Park Crescent’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St Mary’s School’ stops instead.
