Police appeal for witnesses after a man is stabbed during GBH attack at Wycombe Retail Park

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following incident of grievous bodily harm in High Wycombe.

On Wednesday 26th May 2021, between 8.50pm and 9.30pm, a 22 year old man was at the KFC restaurant at Wycombe Retail Park, Ryemead Way when he was grabbed by two black men.

One of the two men punched the victim in the face and the other, whom the victim recognised, took a small kitchen knife from his waistband and stabbed the 22 year old man three times in his right buttock.

The 22 year old man ran off and was later taken to hospital for treatment, where he received stitches to his wound. He has since been discharged from hospital.

The man involved in the incident that the 22 year did not recognise is described as a black male, under 6ft in height with a large build and tight curly black hair.

Designated Investigator Adey Clark, of Wycombe CID, said: ‘I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this assault or who has any information that can assist this investigation to please contact police.

An 18 year old man from High Wycombe has been arrested by police on suspicion of Section 18 GBH with intent and has been released on conditional bail until Saturday 26th June 2021.
