Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 14th June 2021

Week commencing Monday 14th June 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until August 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Crest Road / John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Monday 25th January to Friday 3rd September 2021. Due to changes at the junction by Transport for Buckinghamshire Crest Road will be closed and works taking place on John Hall Way. As such the stop opp ‘Next’ and the ‘Empire Cinema’ stops will not be served during these months. Passengers are advised to use the ‘YMCA’ stop or the ‘Asda’ stop on Holmers Farm Way instead.

Little Horwood Road, Winslow : Monday 1st March to Monday 14th June 2021. Due to East-West Rail works this road will be closed during this period. From Swanbourne buses will enter Winslow by serving Magpie Way, High Street, Horn Street, Vicarage Road and High Street before continuing to The Horwoods. Journeys from Little Horwood will operate via Great Horwood and Winslow and serve the ‘Magpie Estate’ stop on Magpie Way before continuing to Swanbourne. Due to this and other closures along the route, service 50 will operate to a revised timetable until further notice.

Steeple Claydon Road, Charndon : Monday 10th May to Friday 6th August. Due to East-West Rail works this road will be closed between Portway Road and School Lane and buses 16 and 18 will need to divert. The 0645 and 0928 route 16 buses from Marsh Gibbon will start in Twyford instead then serving Marsh Gibbon and Main Street, Charndon before turning down School Hill. Route 16 passengers who use the Charndon Recreation Ground are advised to wait on Main Street instead. Bus route 18 will be unable to serve any stops in Charndon during this period.

High Street, Weedon : Thursday 27th May to Tuesday 7th July 2021. Due to urgent Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road has been closed and services 67 and 154 will be unable to serve the High Street during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Five Elms PH’ stops on New Road instead.

Main Street, Chetwode : Thursday 10th to Wednesday 16th June 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed. The Tuesday only 133 bus service will need to divert on Tuesday 15 June 2021 and will be unable to serve Chetwode on this day.

Hivings Hill, Chesham : Friday 11th to Tuesday 15th June 2021. Due to Affinity Water works this road will be closed on these days. Bus route 1A will divert from the Broadway via Broad Street, Vale Park Drive, Greenway and then turn left at Upper Belmont Road before resuming normal route back to the Broadway. As such the stops on Bellingdon Road, Hivings Hill and the ‘Hope Church’ stops on Upper Belmont Road will not be served during this period.

Bus Station, Bletchley : Monday 14th June 2021 to Monday 19th July 2021. Due to East-West Rail works on Buckingham Road, route 50 buses will be unable to access the Bus Station during this time. The service will instead drop off at the railway station on Sherwood Drive.

Bus Stop Closures

A41, Bicester Road, Fleet Marston : Monday 7th to Monday 28th June 2021, 9.00am to 3.00pm. Due to HS2 works in the vicinity the ‘Cranwell Gate’ stop for journeys into Aylesbury will not be served at these times.

Amersham Road, High Wycombe : Thursday 10th to Monday 14th June 2021. Due to BT Openreach works in the vicinity the two ‘Grammar School’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Amersham Hill Drive’ stops located further along the Amersham Road towards the town centre.

Coombe Lane, Naphill : Thursday 10th to Monday 14th June 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Coombe Farm’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hunts Hill Lane’ stops located on Main Road instead.

Aylesbury Road, Bierton : Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June 2021. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Red Lion PH’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Aylesbury Road’ or ‘Burcott Lane’ stops instead.

Nicol Road, Chalfont St Peter : Monday 14th to Wednesday 16th June 2021. due to works in the vicinity the two ‘Glebe Road’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Leachcroft’ stops located on Grove Lane instead.

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Monday 14th to Friday 19th June 2021, 9pm to 5am. Due to BT Openreach works the ‘Mill End Road East’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will not be served on these nights. Passengers are advised to use the Mill End Road instead.

London Road, Aston Clinton : Monday 14th to Wednesday 16th June 2021. Due to BT Openreach works the ‘Bell PH’ stop for journeys towards Tring will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Combined School’ stop instead.

A413 London Road, Buckingham : Tuesday 15th to Thursday 24th June 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to BT Openreach works the two Lenborough Lane stops will not be served at these times

A413 Winslow Road, Padbury : Tuesday 15th to Thursday 24th June 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to BT Openreach works the two ‘Springfields’ stops will not be served at these times. The nearest alternatives are the ‘New Inn PH’ stops.

A413 Winslow Road, Adstock / Addington : Tuesday 15th to Thursday 24th June 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to BT Openreach works the two ‘Adstock Turn’ and ‘Addington Turn’ stops will not be served at these times.

Micklefield Road, High Wycombe : Friday 18th June 2021, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘Herbert Road South’ stops will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Buckingham Drive’ stops instead.
