Police appeal for witnesses after two men are injured following a burglary in High Wycombe

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an incident of GBH and burglary High Wycombe.

On Wednesday 9tn June 2021, between about 10.45am and 11.15am, machinery was stolen from a depot at the Handy Cross Park and Ride at the top of Marlow Hill, High Wycombe.

Following the burglary, three offenders assaulted members of the Park and Ride staff who challenged them.

A male member of staff sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital at this time. The other staff member sustained a head injury and was treated at hospital but has since been discharged.

The burglars escaped from the scene in a white Citroen van.

Investigating Officer, Detective Constable Lucy Berry, said: ‘These are serious offences, during which two men were injured while trying to stop the offenders from getting away with thousands of pounds worth of machinery.

I am appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to these offences, has seen anything suspicious around the Handy Cross Park and Ride on Wednesday morning, or has dash cam footage from the area to contact the force.
