A collision involving a car and bus occurred in Chairborough Road, High Wycombe during the early morning of Tuesday 22nd June 2021.
At 7.18am firefighters were called to the incident which occurred close to the junction with Bushey Close.. Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station. An officer from the fire service also attended as well as officers from Thames Valley Police and an ambulance with crew.
The firefighters used rescue equipment to release an injured man from the vehicle in which he had been travelling. The injured man was left in the care of the ambulance service and the scene was made safe.
Following the collision with the bus the car struck a van that was was parked beside the road, the force of the the collision between the car and van was so great that the van was catapulted approximately 25ft into the driveway of a nearby house demolishing part of a wooden fence in the process.
A parked car and a wall were also damaged during the incident.
