A summer of FREE family fun is taking place in High Wycombe Town Centre during August 2021.
High Wycombe is gearing up for an action packed August 2021, as the town centre hosts a marathon of FREE family-friendly activities.
HWBIDCo have turned up the action in the town centre so you and your family can make the most of this year’s staycation. With family-friendly events and workshops running throughout August 2021, there is fun to be had every week in High Wycombe Town Centre, featuring Dinosaurs, Pirates, Trolls and much more.
Every Tuesday and Thursday throughout August 2021, 12.00pm to 3.00pm : ‘Summer Crafternoons’ – FREE Kid’s Workshops
Starting from Tuesday 3rd August 2021, the ‘Summer Crafternoons’ Workshops will be taking place from 12.00pm to 3.00pm every Tuesday and Thursday throughout August 2021.
Join the team for a roster of unique summer craft sessions, with new themes and challenges every week. The event will be taking place in the High Street every Tuesday and outside Wilko’s in the Chilterns Centre every Thursday.

Friday 13th August 2021, 11.00am to 4.00pm : ‘DinoMania’ – FREE Dino Shows in Frogmoor
Some Jurassic sized fun will be coming to Frogmoor on Friday 13th August 2021 thank to DinoMania, including the world’s biggest animatronic dinosaur and friends. Meet the Hatchlings, hang out with Ronnie the T-Rex and visit the dinosaur museum. There will also be Dino-themed crafts for everyone to enjoy. Wednesday 25th August 2021, 11.00am to 4.00pm : ‘ColourFEST feat. The Trolls’ – FREE, Wycombe Arts Centre, Desborough Road
Poppy and Branch from Dreamworks ‘The Trolls’ will be paying a visit to Wycombe Arts Centre on Wednesday 25th August 2021 as part of the FREE ‘ColourFEST’ event. Fresh off their ‘World Tour’ they will be sharing their love of music and colour with everyone. There will also be giant colouring boards, interactive ‘Colour Games’, live music, facepainters and more. Booking is essential to secure your spot to meet the Troll. Friday 27th August 2021, 11.00am to 4.00pm : ‘Pirate Pandemonium’ – FREE Pirate Shows in Frogmoor
On Friday 27th August 2021 the ‘Pirate Pandemonium’ team will be visiting Frogmoor floating in aboard their giant wooden ship. With three live pirate adventure shows throughout the day there will be plenty of ocean antics to keep everyone entertained. There will also be pirate-themed crafts for everyone to enjoy. Seriously though, it’s an amazing feeling to be able to properly welcome the community back into the heart of the town centre, and this August is set to be busy.
