Two girls sustained burns after fire broke out in the bedroom of a property in High Wycombe

Fire broke out in the bedroom of a property in Whitelands Road, High Wycombe during the afternoon of Tuesday 3rd August 2021.

At 1.53pm firefighters were called to the incident in a bedroom on the first floor of the property. Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station.

Upon arrival at the scene the firefighters discovered that the fire was already out.

The firefighters gave first aid to two girls who were suffering from the effects of minor burns, before passing them into the care of South Central Ambulance service.

The firefighters also carried out a fire and wellness check and installed an additional smoke alarm in the property.
