Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 9th August 2021

Week commencing Monday 9th August 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (Between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Crest Road / John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Monday 25th January to Friday 3rd September 2021. Due to changes at the junction by Transport for Buckinghamshire Crest Road will be closed and works taking place on John Hall Way. As such the stop opp ‘Next’ and the ‘Empire Cinema’ stops will not be served during these months. Passengers are advised to use the ‘YMCA’ stop or the ‘Asda’ stop on Holmers Farm Way instead.

Whitepit Lane, Flackwell Heath : Monday 26th July 2021 to Friday 20th August 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works this road will be closed during this period. The evening 36A journeys will divert via Blind Lane and will not serve stops on Cores End Road, Town Lane, The Green or Whitepit Lane. Evening and Sunday bus route 37A will run as normal between Bourne End and Wooburn Green, then continue along the A4094 to the London Road then back to Flackwell Heath, all stops will be served except those along Whitepit Lane.

Gold Hill West, Chalfont St Peter : Monday 2nd to Friday 13th August 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works this road will be closed. Buses will divert via Gold Hill East where temporary stops will be placed on the southern part of the road, north of the Baptist Church by a bench overlooking the green. Stops on Gold Hill West, Grove Lane and Nicol Road will not be served during this period.

A418 Aylesbury Road, Rowsham / Bierton : Monday 2nd August 2021 to Friday 3rd September 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am each night. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during these nights. Evening journeys on bus routes 100 and 150 will divert between Wing and Aylesbury via Cublington, Bushmead Road and the A413 and will not serve stops between Wing and Aylesbury, including Wingrave Crossroads, Rowsham and Bierton.

Twyford Road, Poundon : Saturday 7th to Monday 9th August 2021. Due to Anglian Water works this road will be closed on these days. Buses will turn after serving the ‘Crown’ stops in Twyford and will not serve the ‘Manor House’ or ‘Poundon Turn’ stops.

A422, Brackley Road, Westbury : Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th August 2021, 9.30am to 5.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Water Stratford Road and Main Street. Bus routes 131 and 132 will divert via Fulwell Road and will not serve Water Stratford on these days.

Wellington Avenue, Monks Risborough : Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th August 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these days. The Risborough Community Bus Route 1 will need to divert via the A4010 and Mill Lane, and will be unable to serve Wellington Avenue, Westmead, Shortborough Avenue or Place Farm Way.

Cherry Tree Road, Holtspur : Monday 9th to Thursday 19th August 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during this period. The Tuesday and Friday route 380 will unable to serve Cherry Tree Road or May 2021flower Way.

Village Road, Denham : Wednesday 11th August 2021. Village Road will be closed on this day. Bus route 581 will divert via Denham Avenue and will not be able to serve stops on Village Road and Old Mill Road.

High Road, Soulbury : Thursday 12th and Friday 13th August 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and bus route 162 will divert. The ‘Boot PH’ stops on High Road will not be served on these days.

Place Farm Way, Monks Risborough : Thursday 12th August 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works part of Place Farm Way will be closed at these times. The Risborough Community Bus Route 1 will divert via Westmead and will not serve Shortborough Avenue or the stops near the shops on Place Farm Way.

Bus Stop Closures

John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Thursday 17th June to Sunday 29th August 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the stop adjacent to Next will not be served during this period. A temporary stop will be placed nearby away from the works and passengers are advised to wait there and hail to the driver.

Sycamore Road, Amersham : Wednesday 4th to Tuesday 10th August 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works stops D and E will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Oakfield Corner’ stops on Hill Avenue instead.

Chiltern Avenue, Chesham : Saturday 7th to Friday 13th August 2021. Due to works in the vicinity by UKPN the two ‘Leisure Centre’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Green Lane’ stops located on Woodside Road instead.

Wycombe Road, Prestwood : Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th August 2021. Due to Affinity water works in the vicinity the two ‘Sixty Acres Road’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Village Hall’ stops instead.

Hughenden Road, High Wycombe : Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th August 2021. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Coates Lane’ stop will not be served on journeys from High Wycombe. Passengers are advised to use ‘The Beaconsfield Arms PH’ stop instead.

Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th August 2021. Due to works on behalf of Network Plus in the vicinity the two ‘South Park Crescent’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St Mary’s School’ stops instead.

Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Tuesday 10th to Monday 23rd August 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the ‘Railway Station Stop B’ for journeys towards the Chalfonts will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘South Park Crescent’ stop (except on 10 and 11 August 2021) or the ‘Packhorse PH’ stop.

Hill Avenue, Amersham : Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th August 2021, 9.30am to 3.00pm. Due to Virgin Media works in the vicinity ‘Railway Station Stop J’ will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Oakfield Corner’ Stop C instead.

Broad Street, Chesham : Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th August 2021. Due to Thames Water works in the vicinity the two ‘Police Station’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Jolly Sportsman PH’ stops instead.

Exchange Street, Aylesbury : Friday 13th August 2021. Due to drainage works the stop for journeys into Aylesbury will not be served on this day. Passengers are advised to alight at the Bus Station instead.

Walton Street, Aylesbury : Friday 13th to Tuesday 17th August 2021. Due to Telecom works in the vicinity the ‘Magistrates Court’ stop will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the Walton Street stop located further towards the town centre.
