Overnight road closures are to take place in Moorfield Road, Denham for repairs to the road surface.
HS2 Limited is undertaking repairs to Moorfield Road, Denham. Pre-condition surveys by HS2 dating back to 2018 clearly identified the poor quality of the carriageway prior to any main works by HS2 being undertaken at the location.
To safely carry out repair work to Moorfield Road in Denham, HS2 Limited will need to close the road overnight in two phases.
During the road closures access will be maintained for residents and emergency services. All other traffic will be diverted away from Moorfield Road.
The first phase of resurfacing started on Monday 16th August 2021 and will continue until Monday 23rd August 2021. The road will be closed from 9.00pm to 5.00am overnight whilst the damaged section of road is stripped and resurfaced.
The second phase of the work is due to take place from Monday 13th September 2021 to Thursday 16th September 2021 to install anti-skid loops to complete the resurfacing works. The road will again be closed from 9.00pm to 5.00am each night.
During both phases of work the road will be opened daily between 6.00am and 9.00pm. Advanced diversion notices will be in place two weeks beforehand and a signed diversion route will be created for motorists travelling between Harefield and Denham during the road closures.
Public Rights of Way will be maintained wherever possible and access for residents and businesses will be managed by on site staff with signage and traffic marshalling for pedestrians. Traffic will be diverted between Denham to Harefield via Harvil Road, Swakeleys Road, A40 Western Avenue / Oxford Road and A412 Denham Avenue / Orbital Way.
