Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 23rd August 2021

Week commencing Monday 23rd August 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Crest Road / John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Monday 25th January 2021 to Friday 3rd September 2021. Due to changes at the junction by Transport for Buckinghamshire Crest Road will be closed and works taking place on John Hall Way. As such the stop opp ‘Next’ and the ‘Empire Cinema’ stops will not be served during these months. Passengers are advised to use the ‘YMCA’ stop or the ‘Asda’ stop on Holmers Farm Way instead.

A418 Aylesbury Road, Rowsham / Bierton : Monday 2nd August 2021 to Friday 3rd September 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am each night. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during these nights. Evening journeys on bus routes 100 and 150 will divert between Wing and Aylesbury via Cublington, Bushmead Road and the A413 and will not serve stops between Wing and Aylesbury, including Wingrave Crossroads, Rowsham and Bierton.

Moorfield Road, Denham : From 9.00pm on Monday 16th August 2021 to 5.00am on Monday 23rd August 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will close and 331 will divert between Uxbridge and South Harefield during this period. The stops on Oxford Road in New Denham, Denham Avenue and Moorfield Road in Denham will not be served.

Heath End Road / Abbey Barn Lane, High Wycombe : From 7.00pm on Friday 20th August 2021 to 5.00am on Monday 23rd August 2021. Due to works the junction of these two roads will be closed and bus route 36 will need to divert over the weekend. The buses will leave High Wycombe via the A40, resuming normal route on Straight Bit in Flackwell Heath. As such stops on Daws Hill Lane and Heath End road will not be served during this period.

Main Street, Chetwode : Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th August 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed on these dates and the Tuesday 133 bus route will be unable to serve Chetwode.

Chearsley Road, Long Crendon : Monday 23rd August 2021 to Friday 3rd September 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. In Chearsley bus route 110 will travel as normal until Aylesbury Road then turn back via Winchendon Road and Canon Hill, then divert via the A418 between Long Crendon and Chearsley, missing all stops on Crendon Road and Chearsley Road. Passengers for the ‘Bell PH’ stops in Chearsley are advised to wait on Winchendon Road outside and opposite the Village Hall. In Long Crendon the nearest served stops will be on The Square.

Cholesbury Lane, Hawridge : Tuesday 24th to Monday 30th August 2021. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed and bus routes 149 and 194 will need to divert via Bellingdon Road and Ray’s Hill on these days. As such the ‘Cholesbury Lane’ stops in Hawridge will not be served.

Bus Stop Closures

John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Thursday 17th June 2021 to Sunday 29th August 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the stop adjacent to Next will not be served during this period. A temporary stop will be placed nearby away from the works and passengers are advised to wait there and hail to the driver.

Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Tuesday 10th to Monday 23rd August 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the ‘Railway Station Stop B’ for journeys towards the Chalfonts will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘South Park Crescent’ stop (except on 10 and 11 August 2021) or the ‘Packhorse PH’ stop.

Amersham Road, High Wycombe : Friday 13th to Friday 27th August 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the two ‘Amersham Hill Drive’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Maybrook Gardens’ stops instead.

North Orbital Road, Denham : Monday 16th August 2021 to Friday 10th September 2021. Due to developer works in the vicinity the two ‘Media Park’ stops will not be served during this period.

Marsworth Road, Pitstone : Monday 16th August 2021 to Thursday 30th September 2021. Due to developer works in the vicinity the ‘Playing Fields’ stop for journeys towards Ivinghoe will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Albion Road’ stop instead, located further along the Marsworth Road.

Whitepit Lane and Northern Woods : Flackwell Heath, Wednesday 18th to Wednesday 25th August 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works the two ‘Whitepit Lane’ stops and the ‘Northern Woods’ stop opposite Mitzi’s Hairdressers will not be served on these days. Instead of the ‘Northern Woods’ stop passengers are advised to use the ‘Green Dragon PH’ stop. Instead of the Whitepit Lane stops passengers are advised to use the Straight Bit stop for the 36A evening journeys and for the 37A Sunday journeys the stop on Straight Bit towards High Wycombe and the ‘Green Dragon PH’ stop for journeys towards Bourne End.

Broad Street, Chesham : Thursday 19th to Monday 23rd August 2021. Due to Affinity Water works in the vicinity the two ‘Police Station’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Jolly Sportsman PH’ stops instead.

Weedon Hill, Hyde Heath : Friday 20th to Monday 23rd August 2021. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the two stops at ‘The Green’ will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the works area and hail clearly to the driver to stop.

Hogfair Lane, Burnham : Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th August 2021. Due to Freeflow works in the vicinity the ‘Grammar School’ and ‘Lincoln Hatch Lane’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fairfield Road’ stops located on Britwell Road.

High Street, Prestwood : Tuesday 24th to Friday 27th August 2021. Due to Freeflow works in the vicinity the two ‘Green Man PH’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Traveller’s Rest PH’ stops instead.
