House in Aylesbury struck by lightning

A house in Aylesbury was struck by lightning during the early hours of Sunday 22nd August 2021.

At 5.30am firefighters were called to the incident in Kestrel Way, Watermead, Aylesbury. One fire appliance with crew attended from Thame fire station as well as one from Broughton fire station and one from Bicester fire station.

At the property there was a smell of burning  and signs of electrical damage to sockets and an aerial.

The firefighters isolated the electricity supply and provided advice.
