Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 13th September 2021
Week commencing Monday 13th September 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Long term stop closures
A41 Bicester Road, Fleet Marston / Waddesdon : Due to HS2 works the two ‘Cranwell Gate’ stops in Fleet Marston and the two ‘Crossroads’ stops near the junction with Blackgrove Road / Waddesdon Hill will not be served until further notice.
Bus Diversions
Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.
Marsh Gibbon Road, Poundon : Tuesday 31st August 2021 to Friday 29th October 2021. Due to East West Rail works this road will be closed during this period. Routes 16 and 18 will turn after serving the ‘Crown PH’ stops in Twyford and travel to Marsh Gibbon via Charndon. The ‘Manor House’ stops on Bicester Road and the ‘Poundon Turn’ stops on Marsh Gibbon Road will not be served.
Fidlers Field, Quainton : Monday 6th to Friday 17th September 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed. Bus route 16 will run a temporary timetable during this period. Journeys, which call at Quainton, will serve Quainton between Waddesdon and Aylesbury, travelling via Blackgrove Road.
Moorfield Road, Denham : Monday 13th to Thursday 16th September 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will close and 331 will divert between Uxbridge and South Harefield during this period. The stops on Oxford Road in New Denham, Denham Avenue and Moorfield Road in Denham will not be served.
Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th to Friday 17th September 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works on the new Sainsbury’s part of this road will be closed on these nights. Evening buses will divert via Gatehouse Road. As such stops along the Bicester Road between Gatehouse Road and Buckingham Road, plus the ‘White Hill’ stop on the Oxford Road for journeys towards town will not be served.
A4010, Wycombe Road, Saunderton : Monday 13th to Wednesday 22nd September 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works part of this road will be closed on these nights. Evening route 130 journeys will divert via Lacey Green and Walter’s Ash and will not serve stops between Woodway and Bradenham Wood Lane.
A41 Bicester Road, Aylesbury / Waddesdon : Monday 13th to Friday 17th September 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed on these nights between Blackgrove Road and Aylesbury Vale Parkway. Evening route 16 and 17 buses will need to divert and will not serve stops between Aylesbury town centre and Blackgrove Road.
Brackley Lane, Calvert : Wednesday 15th September 2021, 9am to 3pm. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed at these times. Buses will enter Calvert via Cotswold Way and turn back round at the Village Hall as such the stops on Brackley Lane will not be served.
High Wycombe Town Centre : Sunday 19th September 2021 9am to 12 noon. Due to the Battle of Britain commemorations buses will be unable to serve the stops on Castle Street, High Street and Oxford Street during these times.
Bus Stop Closures
Marsworth Road, Pitstone : Monday 16th August 2021 to Thursday 30th September 2021. Due to developer works in the vicinity the ‘Playing Fields’ stop for journeys towards Ivinghoe will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Albion Road’ stop instead, located further along the Marsworth Road.
Sheepcote Dell Road, Holmer Green : Friday 10th to Wednesday 15th September 2021. Due to Openreach works in the vicinity, the stop nearest the junction of the A404 for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served on these days.
Castle Street and Railway Station, High Wycombe : Sunday 19th September 2021. Due to works on behalf of SSE the Castle Street and Station Interchange stops will not be served on these Sundays. Passengers are advised to use the High Street stops instead.
Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common : Monday 13th September 2021. Due to works in the vicinity the northbound ‘Kennedy Close’ stop will not be served on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Forester’s Arms PH’ stop instead.
Gordon Road, High Wycombe : Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th September 2021. Due to Openreach works the Gordon Road stop will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Chichester Close’ stop on Bowerdean Road instead.
Missenden Road, Great Kingshill : Monday 13th to Friday 17th September 2021. Due to Affinity Water works in the vicinity the two ‘Cherry Tree Close’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops located on The Common instead.
A41 Tring Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th to Thursday 30th September 2021, 9.00am to 4.00pm. Due to development works in the vicinity the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will not be served during this period.
Whielden Lane, Amersham : Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th September 2021. Due to Openreach works in the vicinity the two ‘Hospital’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Gilbert Scott Court’ stops located on Whielden Street instead.
