Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 20th September 2021

Week commencing Monday 20th September 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Marsh Gibbon Road, Poundon : Tuesday 31st August 2021 to Friday 29th October 2021. Due to East West Rail works this road will be closed during this period. Routes 16 and 18 will turn after serving the ‘Crown PH’ stops in Twyford and travel to Marsh Gibbon via Charndon. The ‘Manor House’ stops on Bicester Road and the ‘Poundon Turn’ stops on Marsh Gibbon Road will not be served.

Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Friday 3rd to Monday 20th September 2021. Due to works on the new Sainsbury’s part of this road will be closed. Buses will divert via Gatehouse Road. As such stops along the Bicester Road between Gatehouse Road and Buckingham Road, plus the ‘White Hill’ stop on the Oxford Road for journeys towards town will not be served.

Hill Farm Road, Taplow : Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd September 2021. Due to Openreach works this road will be closed and the Tuesday only route 63 and 68 will divert and won’t serve the two ‘Desborough Cottages’ stops on Tuesday 21st September 2021.

Brackley Lane, Calvert : Wednesday 22nd September 2021, 9.00am to 3.00pm. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed at these times. Buses will enter Calvert via Cotswold Way and turn back round at the Village Hall as such the stops on Brackley Lane will not be served.

A4010, Wycombe Road, Saunderton : Thursday 23rd September 2021 to Monday 4 October 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works part of this road will be closed on these nights. Evening route 130 journeys will divert via Lacey Green and Walter’s Ash and will not serve stops between Woodway and Bradenham Wood Lane.

Steeple Claydon Road, Charndon : Saturday 25th September 2021. Due to East-West Rail works this road will be closed, buses will serve Calvert and then turn back up Gawcott Road. As such the stops on School Hill, Main Street and Steeple Claydon Road in Charndon will not be served on this day.

A41 Bicester Road, Aylesbury / Waddesdon : Monday 27th September 2021 to Friday 1st October 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed on these nights between Blackgrove Road and Aylesbury Vale Parkway. Evening route 16 and 17 buses will need to divert and will not serve stops between Aylesbury town centre and Blackgrove Road.

Chessmount Rise / Pheasant Rise, Chesham : Monday 27th September 2021 to Friday 8th October 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works these roads will be closed. Buses 71 and 73 will be unable to serve stops here during this period.

Main Street, Chetwode : Monday 27th September 2021 to Monday 11th October 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed and the Tuesday only 133 bus service will be unable to serve Chetwode on the 28 September 2021 and 5 October 2021.

Bus Stop Closures

Marsworth Road, Pitstone : Monday 16th August 2021 to Thursday 30th September 2021. Due to developer works in the vicinity the ‘Playing Fields’ stop for journeys towards Ivinghoe will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Albion Road’ stop instead, located further along the Marsworth Road.

A41 Tring Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th to Thursday 30th September 2021, 9.00am to 4.00pm. Due to development works in the vicinity the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will not be served during this period.

Broad Street, Chesham : Friday 17th to Tuesday 21st September 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Police Station’ stops will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Jolly Sportsman PH’ stops instead.

Slough Road and Bangors Road North, Iver : Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd September 2021. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘Post Meadow’ stops and the ‘Black Horse PH’ stop for the journey back from Uxbridge, will not be served during these days. Passengers are for the ‘Post Meadow’ are advised to use the ‘Swallow Street’ stops or the ‘St David’s Close’ stop instead of the Black Horse PH.

Missenden Road, Great Kingshill : Monday 20th September 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works the ‘Cherry Tree Road’ stop for journeys towards Great Missenden, will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the stop at The Common instead.

Copthall Lane, Chalfont Common : Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd September 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Copthall Lane’ stop for journeys to Slough will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ninnings Road’ stop instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common : Tuesday 21st to Saturday 25th September 2021. Due to works on behalf of Vodafone the stop adjacent to Fairfield Lane will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Farnham Pump PH’ stop instead.

Castle Street, High Wycombe : Tuesday 21st to Thursday 23rd September 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the two Castle Street stops will not be served between these times. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Oxford Street instead.

Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th September 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Old Sax Lane’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Buslins Lane’ stops instead.

Wycombe Road, Prestwood : Friday 24th to Tuesday 28th September 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Holy Trinity Church’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hildreth Road’ stops instead.

Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Monday 27th September 2021 to Sunday 31st October 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the stop opposite Chiltern Hills Academy will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Berkeley Avenue’ stop located further up Chartridge Lane.

Duck Lake Close, Maids Moreton : Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th September 2021. Due to Anglian Water works the two ‘Buckingham Arms’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Avenue Road’ stops on the A413 instead.

Bath Road, Taplow : Thursday 30th September 2021 to Tuesday 12th October 2021. Due to SSE works the two ‘Ellington Road’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Dumb Bell PH’ stops instead.
