Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 1st November 2021

Week commencing Monday 1st November 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (Between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Main Street, Chetwode : Monday 27th September to Monday 1st November 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed and the Tuesday only 133 bus service will be unable to serve Chetwode.

Pippin Road and Bramley Road, Berryfields, Aylesbury : Monday 11th October 2021 to Saturday 6th November 2021. Due to developer works on the site these roads will be closed. Bus routes 4 and 4A will continue along Paradise Orchard and will not serve Collington Road, Russet Street, Worcester Street, Bramley Road or Pippin Road during this period.

High Wycombe Town Centre : Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd November 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works there will be closures on Castle Street and Corporation Road. As such evening buses will divert via Abbey Way missing stops on Oxford Street, High Street and Castle Street. Passengers are advised to use the Bus Station between their times.

Sheepcote Dell Road, Holmer Green : Tuesday 2nd to Monday 8th November 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. From High Wycombe buses will run as normal as far as the ‘Bat and Ball’ stops on the Common, they will then turn back round using The Common, Beech Tree Road and New Pond Road, exiting Holmer Green via Earl Howe Road (and reverse for journeys from Chesham). Stops on Sheepcote Dell Road will not be served during these times.

Wycombe Lane, Wooburn Green : Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th November 2021, 8.00pm to 5.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire this road will be closed and evening route 37 buses will divert at these times via the London Road and Holtspur Lane. Stops on Station Road, Loudwater, Boundary Road and Wycombe Lane will not be served.

Fidler’s Field, Quainton : Wednesday 3rd to Wednesday 24th November 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed during this period. Bus route 16 will operate a temporary timetable during these dates, rerouted to serve Quainton between Waddesdon and Aylesbury via Blackgrove Road.

Amersham Hill, High Wycombe : Thursday 4th and Friday 5th November 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Castle Street and Lucas Road on these nights. Evening buses will divert via Crendon Street, Queen Victoria Road, London Road, Gordon Road, Bowerdean Road and Arnison Avenue. Stops will not be served at:

• Totteridge Road between Bowerdean Road and Amersham Hill.
• Along Amersham Hill and Amersham Road between Castle Street and Arnison Avenue.
• At the Railway Station. Passengers for the Railway Station are advised to use the stops on Castle Street instead.

Bus Stop Closures

Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Monday 27th September to Sunday 7th November 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the stop opposite Chiltern Hills Academy will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Berkeley Avenue’ stop located further up Chartridge Lane.

Acres End, Amersham : Friday 29th October 2021 to Thursday 4th November 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two stops on Acres End will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Sheepfold Lane’ stops on Hundred Acres End instead.

Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Friday 29th October 2021 to Thursday 4th November 2021. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Henley’s Roundabout’ stop towards the town will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Southern Road’ stop located outside the Hop Pole instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Monday 1st to Tuesday 2nd November 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works the ‘Loudwater Turn’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rayner’s Avenue’ stop instead.

Bicester Road, Berryfields, Aylesbury : Monday 1st November 2021 to Friday 24 December. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Berryfields Lane’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury town centre will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Sir Henry Lee Crescent’ stop for routes 4, 16 and 17 located further back along the Bicester Road and the ‘Link Road West’ stop for route 4A journeys, located on Paradise Orchard.

Vicarage Road, Winslow : Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th November 2021. Due to Anglian Water works the two ‘Vicarage Road’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Avenue Road’ stops located on the High Street, instead.

Hedsor Road, Bourne End : Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th November 2021. Due to works by Swish Fibre Networks the two Hedsor Road stops will not be served on this day. Passengers are advised to use the nearest stop on Station Road or on Ferry Lane instead.

Bath Road, Taplow : Tuesday 2nd to Friday 12th November 2021. Due to SSEN works the two ‘Ellington Road’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Dumb Bell PH’ stops instead.

Grays Park Road, Stoke Poges : Wednesday 3th to Thursday 11th November 2021. Due to utility works in the vicinity the two ‘Church Lane’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Park Road’ stops instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Thursday 4th November 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works the ‘Cricket Ground’ stop for journeys from High Wycombe will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Chestnut Avenue’ stop instead.

Thame Road, Long Crendon : Thursday 4th November 2021. Due to Openreach works the two ‘Southfield’ stops will be closed off on this day and replaced by temporary stops nearby outside the roadworks area.

Heath End Road, Flackwell Heath : Thursday 4th to Wednesday 10th November 2021. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Rugwood Road’ stop for journeys towards Bourne End will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bucks College Group’ stop instead.

Buckingham Road, Whitchurch : Friday 5th November 2021. Due to UKPN works the two ‘White Horse Lane’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Methodist Church’ stops instead.
