Public consultation launched on a new Early Help Partnership Strategy for Buckinghamshire

| November 1, 2021

A public consultation on a new Early Help Partnership Strategy for Buckinghamshire is being launched on Monday 1st November 2021.

Buckinghamshire’s Children and Young People’s Partnership want to make sure that children, young people and their families get the support they need, when they need it, to deal with any problems they may be facing before they get worse.

This support is known as early help and is provided by lots of different services across Buckinghamshire. These organisations include the Council, health services, education and voluntary and community sector organisations.

Early help services can offer support as soon as a family is facing a problem, through advice and information, drop-in sessions delivered at Family Centres across the county, or direct support from a professional who will work with a family and other professionals to agree a plan to help.

In Buckinghamshire, we already have an Early Help Partnership Strategy that expires in March 2022. Buckinghamshire Council is to produce a new strategy, a plan for the next three years on how to improve the support, measure success and try new things.

Councillor Anita Cranmer, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services at Buckinghamshire Council, said: ‘Our goal is to deliver the best possible early help services to families in Buckinghamshire. We want as many people as possible to give their views on the strategy and the priorities it contains so it’s the best it can be.

Residents can give their views can do this through an online survey (the draft Early Help strategy can be seen here too) at https://yourvoicebucks.citizenspace.com/schools/early-help-2021/.

Feedback can also be given in person by attending an online event on:

  • Tuesday 9th November 2021 from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.
  • Wednesday 10th November 2021 from 11.00am to 12.00pm.
  • Monday 15th November 2021 from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.

To book a place at these online events or if you have any queries please email [email protected].

The closing date for the Early Help strategy survey is Friday 12th December 2021.
