Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 29th November 2021

Week commencing Monday 29th November 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (Between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Pippin Road and Bramley Road, Berryfields, Aylesbury : Monday 11th October 2021 until further notice. Due to developer works on the site these roads will be closed. Bus routes 4 and 4A will continue along Paradise Orchard and will not serve Collington Road, Russet Street, Worcester Street, Bramley Road or Pippin Road during this period.

Brackley Lane, Calvert : Wednesday 10th November 2021 to Friday 17th December 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed. Buses will turn at the Community Hall and will not be able to serve the stops on Brackley Lane or Werner Terrace.

A41 High Street, Waddesdon : Monday 22nd November 2021 to Monday 6th December 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am (overnight). Due to HS2 works the following journeys will not operate:

Service 16

• 6.30pm Aylesbury – Westcott Venture Park (Monday to Friday)
• 6.54pm Marsh Gibbon – Aylesbury (Saturday)
• 6.59pm Marsh Gibbon – Aylesbury (Monday to Friday)
• 7.08pm Westcott Venture Park – Aylesbury (Monday to Friday)

Service 17

• 6.40pm Aylesbury – Bicester (Monday to Saturday)
• 7.25pm Bicester – Aylesbury (Monday to Saturday)

Brackley Lane, Calvert : Monday 21st November 2021 to Friday 17th December 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed. Buses will turn at the Community Hall and will not be able to serve stops on Brackley Lane or Werner Terrace.

Bridge Street, High Wycombe : Monday 29th November 2021 to Wednesday 1st December 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works by Transport for Buckinghamshire, part of this road will be closed on these nights. Buses will all depart the bus station via the Oxford road side of Bridge Street and the ‘St John’s Church’ stops on Desborough Road will not be served.

First Avenue, Hundred Acres Lane and Acres End : Monday 29th November 2021 to Friday 3rd December 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works these roads will be closed and won’t be served on these days.

High Street, Marlow : Thursday 2nd December 2021, 1.00pm to 10.00pm. Due to a Christmas shopping event the High Street will be closed and afternoon journeys on the 158 and 160 services won’t serve here on this day. Please use the Court Garden Leisure Centre stop instead.

Marlow Road, High Wycombe : Thursday 2nd December 2021, 8.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and routes 800 and 850 will divert during these nights. The stops on Marlow Road will not be served.

High Street / Broadway / Whielden Street, Old Amersham : Friday 3rd December 2021, 3.30pm to 10.30pm. Due to the Christmas light switch on these roads will be closed at these times. Buses will divert via the A413 and Gore Hill, and will not serve stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street or the ‘Hospital’ stops on Whielden Lane.

Market Street, Chalfont St Peter : Friday 3rd December 2021, 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Due to a Christmas event this road will be closed, buses will divert via Kingsway, Lower Road and the High Street so that the stops on Austenwood Lane, Gold Hill West, Grove Lane, Nicol Road, Gold Hill North and Market Place will not be served. Passengers from Chalfont St Peter centre are advised to wait on the High Street near Mr Crusty or Mario’s and hail to the driver to stop.

Sycamore Road, Amersham : Saturday 4th December 2021. Due to a Christmas event this road will be closed on this day. Bus routes 71, 73 and 103 will divert and will not serve stops D and E on Sycamore Road.

High Street, Princes Risborough : Saturday 4th December 2021, 9.00am to 8.00pm. Due to a Christmas event this road will be closed on this day. Bus routes will divert and passengers are advised to wait at the stops on New Road instead.

Ballinger Road, South Heath : Saturday 4th December 2021. Due to UKPN works this road will be closed on this day. Bus route 177 will divert via Potter Row and will not serve stops on Ballinger Road in South Heath and Ballinger, and Oxford Street in The Lee.

Bus Stop Closures

Amersham Road, Chesham Bois : Friday 5th November 2021 to Friday 10th December 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the two ‘Beacon School’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bois Avenue’ stops instead.

Thame Road, Haddenham : Friday 26th to Tuesday 30th November 2021. Due to UKPN works the two ‘Briden’s Way’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fort End’ stops on Tacks Way instead.

Henley Road, Hambleden : Friday 26th to Tuesday 30th November 2021. Due to Openreach works the ‘Mill End’ stop for journeys towards Henley will not be served on these days.

Broad Street, Chesham : Monday 29th November 2021 to Friday 3rd December 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works the two ‘Jolly Sportsman PH’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Police Station’ stops instead.

A40, Holtspur : Wednesday 1st to Wednesday 15th December 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the two ‘North Drive’ stops will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Kings Head PH’ stops instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common : Saturday 4th December 2021, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Due to works in the vicinity the northbound ‘Kennedy Close’ stop will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Forester’s Arms’ stop instead.

Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December 2021. Due to Openreach works the two ‘South Park Crescent’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St Mary’s School’ instead.

Amersham Road, Beaconsfield : Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December 2021. Due to Openreach works the two ‘Ronald Road’ stops will not be served on these days.
