Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 24th January 2022

Week commencing Monday 24th January 2022 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Monday 4th January 2022 to Monday 30th May 2022. Due to long term Cadent Gas works, Arriva bus route 48 will divert via Dashwood Avenue and will not serve stops along the West Wycombe Road. Other services along here will operate as normal but May 2022 be delayed at times.

Orchard Road / Bank Street, High Wycombe : Monday 17th to Tuesday 25th January 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works these roads will be closed. Bus route 27 will divert throughout the closure and will not serve the stops on Orchard Road or Bank Street.

Preston Bissett Road, Chetwode : Monday 17th to Monday 31st January 2022. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed during this period. The Tuesday only bus route 133 will need to divert and won’t serve Chetwode during this period.

A41 Bicester Road, Westcott : Monday 24th January 2022 to Monday 7th February 2022, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed on this night. The following route 16 and 17 bus journeys will not run on these evenings: Route 16: 6.30pm from Aylesbury, 6.59pm from Marsh Gibbon, 1858 from Quainton (7.08pm Venture Park). Route 17: 6.40pm from Aylesbury and 7.25pm from Bicester Village.

Stoke Road, Aylesbury : Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th January 2022, 9.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these two nights. Evening and early morning route 5, 130 and 300 buses will divert between the Hospital and the town centre via Churchill Avenue, Ellen Road and Oxford Road, missing stops on Mandeville Road, Stoke Road and Walton Street.

Whielden Street, Amersham : Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th January 2022. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed on these days. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert via the bypass and Gore Hill missing the ‘Hospital’ stops on Whielden Lane, all stops on Whielden Street and Amersham Broadway.

Bus Stop Closures

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Friday 7th to Friday 28th January 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the two ‘Mill End Road’ stops and the ‘Mill End Road East’ stop will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the following alternatives:

• For route 27 and the school route 5 service use the ‘Pheasant Drive’ stops on Plomer Hill.
• For other journeys towards the town centre use the ‘Downley Turn’ or ‘Desborough Park Road’ stops on the West Wycombe Road.
• For westbound journeys towards West Wycombe and Saunderton please use the ‘Railway Bridge’ stop further along the West Wycombe Road.

Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Monday 17th to Tuesday 25th January 2022. Due to UKPN works the ‘Devereux Place’ stop for journeys away from the town centre will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Rabans Lane for routes 2 and 5, or the ‘Rabans Lane’ stop located further along the Bicester Road for routes 16 and 17.

Wycombe End, Holtspur : Tuesday 18th to Monday 24th January 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘North Drive’ stop for journeys towards Beaconsfield will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use ‘The King’s Head PH’ stop instead.

Slough Road, Iver Heath : Thursday 27th and Friday 28th January 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works the two ‘Post Meadow’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Swallow Street’ stops instead.

High Street, Edlesborough : Monday 24th to Wednesday 26th January 2022. Due to Telecom works in the vicinity the ‘Combined School’ stop for journeys towards Dunstable will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Playing Fields’ stop further along the High Street.

Buckingham Road, Padbury : Monday 24th January 2022 to Friday 11th February 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Springfields’ stop for journeys towards Winslow will not be served on these days. A temp stop will be provided close by and passengers are advised to wait here and hail clearly to the bus drivers.

Fennels Farm Road / Oakland Way, Flackwell Heath : Monday 24th to Friday 28th January 2022. Due to SSE works the two stops on Fennels Farm Road and the stop on Oakland Way will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Swains Lane for route 35 or catch route 36 from Heath End Road instead.

Crendon Road, Chearsley : Tuesday 25th January 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the two ‘Bell PH’ stops will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to wait where safe, away from the works area, and hail clearly to the driver to stop.

Amersham Road, Beaconsfield : Thursday 27th and Friday 28th January 2022. Due to Openreach works the two ‘Ronald Road’ stops will not be served on these days. The nearest alternatives are the ‘Waller Road’ stops located on Maxwell Road.

Amersham Road, Beaconsfield : Saturday 29th January 2022, 9.00am to 5.00pm. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Whipass Hill’ stop located at the junction of Ledborough Lane will not be served at these times.
