Fire broke out in the roof of a bungalow in Marlow Bottom
Fire broke out in the roof of a bungalow in Marlow Bottom on Wednesday 16th February 2022.
At 11.47pm firefighters were called to the incident in Marlow Bottom Road, Marlow Bottom. At the height of the fire there were five crews and appliances, a control unit, and four officers in attendance. The appliances and crews attended from High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Whitley Wood, (an aerial appliance from Royal Berkshire), Maidenhead, Aylesbury (a control unit).
During the operation to extinguish the fire the firefighters used eight sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reels, two main jets and an aerial ladder platform.
A scene cordon was put in place due to suspicions that the gable end and chimney stack had become unstable. The gas and electricity supplies were also isolated.
The firefighters handed the incident over to Thames Valley Police.
