Police appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery in High Wycombe

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following attempted robbery in High Wycombe.

On Wednesday 16th February 2022, at around 6.50am, a woman in her thirties was at the junction of Oakridge Road and Green Street when she was approached by a man. The man tried to take her bag but the woman was able to get away.

The man who carried out the attempted robbery is described as a tall Asian man with facial hair. He was wearing a knee length jacket.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Andrew Cummins, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.

Further, I’d appeal to motorists with dash-cams who were in the local area around the time of the incident to please check if any footage may have captured what happened.
