Police appeal for witnesses to assault and dangerous driving incident in Beaconsfield

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an incident of assault and dangerous driving in Beaconsfield.

On Sunday 20th March 2022, at around 3.40am, a grey Vauxhall Corsa was driven in circles in the car park of the services at junction two of the M40 in Beaconsfield. The car collided with a man in his twenties, the vehicle was then driven away from the scene.

The man in his twenties suffered a broken rib, causing a partially collapsed lung, a cut to the head plus grazes and bruising. He was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for further treatment but has since been discharged.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a white man with medium length, brown hair.

The collision followed another incident that took place earlier in the evening involving the suspected driver of the vehicle involved in the collision and the friends of the man who was injured.

Detective Constable Emma Calow, based at Amersham police station, said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this assault or have information about it to please get in touch.

Also, if you were in the area around the time and have a dash-cam, I’d also ask that you check the recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.

Police have arrested an 18 year old man from Flackwell Heath on suspicion of wounding with intent and dangerous driving in connection with the incident. He has been bailed until Sunday 17th April 2022.
