Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 25th April 2022

Week commencing Monday 25th April 2022 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Monday 4th January 2022 to Monday 30th May 2022. Due to long term Cadent Gas works, Arriva bus route 48 will divert via Dashwood Avenue and will not serve stops along the West Wycombe Road. Other services along here will operate as normal but May 2022 be delayed at times.

London Road, Aston Clinton : Monday 26th and Tuesday 26th April 2022, 9.30am to 2.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Lower Icknield Way and Weston Road. Buses will divert via the Lower Icknield Way and A41 by-pass, missing stops in much of Aston Clinton between these roads.

Windsor Lane, Burnham : Monday 25th to Friday 29th April 2022. Due to works by City Fibre this road will be closed on these days. First Bus routes 12 and 13 will divert missing the stops on Stomp Road and the ‘Garibaldi PH’ stop on Lincoln Hatch Lane.

Aston Abbotts Road, Cublington : Thursday 28th April 2022 to Thursday 12th May 2022, 8.00am to 7.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during this period. Buses will operate as follows:

• Service 165: After serving Wing the bus will continue to Cublington, picking up passengers on the High Street, near the junction with Wing Road / Aston Abbotts Road. Then divert via Bushmead Road, the A413, New Road and Aston Abbotts Rd (Weedon) resuming normal route at The Green in Aston Abbotts to Aylesbury via Wingrave. Due to the length of diversion all journeys will terminate at Aylesbury Bus Station and Harvey Road, Barnard Crescent and Stoke Mandeville Hospital will not be served during this period.
• Services 153 and 154: Buses will operate as normal from Stewkley to Cublington picking up / dropping off passengers on the High Street near the junction with Wing Road / Aston Abbotts Road, they will then divert via Bushmead Road to the A413 missing stops in Aston Abbotts.

High Wycombe town centre : Sunday 1st May 2022. Due to the Frogfest event buses will not be able to serve stops on the High Street, Castle Street, Oxford Street and Frogmoor on this day. Passengers are advised to use the Bus Station during this day.

Bus Stop Closures

Rose Avenue, Hazlemere : Wednesday 13th to Tuesday 26th April 2022. Due to CG Utilities the two ‘Rose Avenue Shops’ and the ‘Pine Walk’ stop for journeys towards Penn will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘William Ramsay School’ stop as an alternative to ‘Pine Walk’ or the stops on Curzon Road instead of the stops at the shops.

High Street : Prestwood Tuesday 19th to Monday 25th April 2022. Due to Swish Fibre works the two ‘Traveller’s Rest PH’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Blacksmith Lane’ stops instead.

Arnison Avenue : High Wycombe, Tuesday 19 to Saturday 30 April 2022. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Happy Wanderer PH’ stop for journeys towards Hazlemere will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘May 2022hew Crescent’ stop instead.

Main Road, Walter’s Ash : Friday 22nd to Tuesday 26th April 2022. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Woodcock Avenue’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Kilnwood’ stops instead.

Deanway, Chalfont St Giles : Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th April 2022. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Dean Way’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Milton Hill’ or ‘Narcot Way’ stops instead.

High Street, Edlesborough : Monday 25th to Friday 29th April 2022. Due to UKPN works the ‘Combined School’ stop for journeys towards Dunstable will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Playing Fields’ stop instead.

Wendover Road, Stoke Mandeville : Monday 25th April 2022 to Sunday 8th May 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Silver Birch Way’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hampden Hall’ stop instead.

Chesham Road, Ashley Green : Tuesday 26th to Thursday 28th April 2022. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘St John’s Church’ stop for journeys towards Chesham will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Flamstead Farm’ stop instead.

Exchange Street, Aylesbury : Wednesday 27th April 2022, 9.00am to 3.30pm. Due to works in the vicinity the bus stop for journeys towards the Bus Station will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to alight in the Bus Station instead.

High Street, Great Missenden : Wednesday 27th April 2022 to Wednesday 4 May 2022. Due to UKPN works the stop opposite ‘Whitefield Lane’ will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop on the High Street.

London Road, Great Missenden : Thursday 28th and Friday 29th April 2022. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Rockwood Way’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Nags Head Lane’ stops instead.
