On Sunday 1st May 2022, ‘Frogfest’ returns to High Wycombe town centre bringing family fun for a bumper bank holiday weekend.

High Wycombe town centre will be alive with music this coming May bank holiday weekend, as the annual ‘Frogfest’ returns for its 9th year on Sunday 1st May 2022.

The event is back to its original big one-day format, with two stages, twenty bands and food trucks galore. The event will be taking place throughout the High Street, Church Street and Frogmoor, from 12.00pm until 9.00pm.

Designed as the ultimate family-friendly festival, ‘Frogfest 2022’ will be bursting with fun, with free street entertainment and crazy circus workshops, as well as children’s rides, face painting and glitter art. There’ll even be a free Land Train to transport you around the town.

Foodies will be in their element with over fifteen Food Trucks spread throughout the event, as well as this this year’s new ‘Frogmoor Food Village’ pop-up, offering gourmet treats including:

  • Giant Paella.
  • Deep-fried Mac and Cheese Balls.
  • Fresh Crepes and Brownies.
  • Spicy Jamaican jerk chicken.
  • Smoked BBQ brisket.
  • Pulled pork.

Mad Squirrel will also be bringing along their Craft Beer Truck, plus there’ll be artisan cider and cocktails pop-ups too.

Boutique craft and gifts stalls will also be on-hand for some bank holiday shopping, plus Wycombe Library, Wycombe Food Hub, Wycombe MIND and Wycombe Youth Action will each be hosting stalls, games and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

The music is the real main event with over twenty local acts on our Frogmoor Main Stage and High Street Stage, boasting an eclectic family-friendly line-up of every musical genre, from Indie, Jazz, Pop and Folk to Bhangra, Ska and Rock. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Wycombe music fans will recognise some of the biggest local names, including:

  • Headliners ‘These Certain People’.
  • ‘Maz Manzini’ and his new group.
  • ‘San Demas’.
  • ‘Weird Auntie’.
  • WWFC’s Gareth Ainsworth who will be performing as part of The Pauly Zarb Experience.

Melanie Williams, Chief Executive of HWBidCo, the organisers of High Wycombe’s annual ‘Frogfest’, said: ‘We’re so excited for Frogfest 2022 – it’s great to be bringing the event back for another year, especially in its BIG one-day format.

We have some amazing bands lined up to play and the ‘Frogmoor Food Village’ will be a great new addition to the event. There’ll be so much going on throughout the day, it really is going to be non-stop fun for all the family, and for us too – we love celebrating our town centre and look forward to welcoming lots of visitors – the best thing about it is it’s FREE to attend.

Grab your glitter and we’ll see you by the stage!
